Is it possible to tame at lvl 31? I've been trying but can't seem to get it. It dies 3 seconds before the tame is up. D:

Actually now its dying 2 seconds before the tame finishes and theres no haste items I can get for a lvl 31.

went to wowhead and searched all items with haste, there are a few heirloom pieces that have haste. there are also a few pieces of greens and blue quest items that have haste, and are either cloth/leather and a ring and one handed sword. all of which can be equipped by hunters.

mostly in STV it seems. There's also the old haste to gloves enchant (+10). You need 72 haste rating at 31 for 20% haste and 8s tame , more if you level. It might be better to just have someone else throw the torch instead.

yeah I tried that too, with someone else throwing the torch. It still didnt seem to work.

Gonna give this a try again. Enchanted my gloves and got someone with a corehound to come help.

its a million times easier to get someone to Torch the boar around 50% of ur tame time, and one shot it when ur tame ends, ive helped about 7 boars get tamed that way =p

also note to have the boar frozen during the tame, so it doesnt run around

just get a friend to toss the torch when you are halfway through the tame. i've tamed many this way, and helped several friends get them as well. ^_^

Just to let peeps know,, this tame can be done right when you are able to tame your first pet. I just tamed this boar on my lvl 10.. thats right folks SOLO tamed this boar on a lvl 10 troll hunter on the Draka server. (sorry, i just did this and am really excited atm ) so now, from what it seems to me, level dosent matter for these tames, its the patience to get it accomplished !

for me it was,
Stand at max tame distance.
Being a troll, pop beserk
Toss torch and hit tame ASAP
spam revive pet on last 1-2 seconds of tame
dont see gold 'poof' or boar go to tamed color on nameplate and drop over dead still flaming
