Grats on Kririx! As for Worba's prediction, I think it has more to do with RNG. something like:

Do Clutchkeepers spawn?
*50% Yes / 50% No*
*Rolls*
No!
Then do Cinderweb Broodlings spawn?
*50% Yes / 50% No*
*Rolls*
No!
Widow's Clutch is now empty of both mobs.

Nothing much we can do about that.

The Broodlings are up on Tarren Mill-EU, and even though I tamed Kirix yesterday, I decided to grab one of these guys as well - just so I'll have a green spider I can use in the daily area without feeling bad about triggering people's alarms.

The pugnacious lil buggers were still up on Mok'Nathal as of 10:30a server (8:30a PDT). Running in their lil spider-pack they will swarm you like angry mosquitoes if you're standing still near the Widow's Clutch.

I have been searching for days. Still haven't seen any sign of them on Cairne. On the plus side, I got both the kitties within two days of each other. :headbang:

Well, I got my Broodlings today! Very happy about that. Also tamed one of the Spinners (red) after forgetting to feign once receiving the Achievement (King of the Hill). He kept pulling me up as I jumped down, and didn't seem to want me to let him go, So I brought him home with me.

Confirmed today on Anvilmar, They travel in a pack and move very quickly. I was able to tame one no problem, the only rare spider now that doesn't have a non rare spawn is Solix, and Deth'tilac.
I believe if you can believe out of nothing an explosion (big bang) happened then how far fetched can god be?

While this feature of the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wasn't exactly intended... - it will still be possible in future for everyone who wishes to tame this NPC to do so

I also want to add that they have a very high re-spawn rate, so if someone kills them, don't panic. All you have to do is wait about 30-60 seconds for a new spawn. I helped a few hunters today get them, I had one call me a noob and said I was gay if I tamed them. They where refereed to as fake Kirix

Considering the strong likelihood that they won't spawn in a day, they can have a spawn timer much longer than Kirix. Tell him that, and see what he says back. I had someone else tell me that, and when I told them what I told you, they didn't have anything to say except "Shutup noob. These are still common" all I could do is laugh.

Frankly... does it matter? You could tame a broodling and name it Kirix and no one would be the slightest bit wiser.

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket

Well, in the Molten front, you can tell by whether it triggers your NPCscan or not. But you're right, it doesn't matter.

Even then, pending on your server, the broodlings can be equally as hard to get to spawn. The only 'bragging rights' are for the challenge, which isn't hugely difficult (imo).

Aye. A common spawn will eat your face just as fast in PvP as a rare. :D
On that note, I haven't seen these little guys on AD in a while. :< Only the non-tamable ones.

I tried to tell this hunter that these are not so common, he then figured he was cool or something. So buddy called me a "fail ass [...]" in general because he figured because he has seen them all day, that it was the norm.. So I opened a ticket and reported for Racist insults. Doesn't matter if it insulted me or not, I'm pretty sure blizzard doesn't want you throwing racist insults to other players. The joke is on him now.

Moderation note: Excellent response to the situation, but let's not quote him quite so explicitly.

I don't understand that. What does it matter if it's rare or not. Sure, I like rares. Most people do, but eventually...you get just as many running around in town that they might as well be common. It really doesn't make a difference at the end of the day. If you enjoy the skin and can't manage to snag a rare/don't care for the challenge and your just as happy with your common instead of the 'rare' then, I'm sorry, someone has their fail meter pointed the wrong way. <.<

I love my 'Not Kirix' and he's not going anywhere. If that makes me fail, oh well, it makes ME happy and I don't have to wait forever and a day just to get a chance at failing.
