Re: eyes of the animal
I greatly miss Eyes of the Beast, it was one of my favourite flavour abilities. And heck, it was useful in quite a few situations too. I keep hoping maybe they'll bring it back someday. *crosses fingers*
Re: eyes of the animal
I also really miss it and have no idea why it was removed, it hardly made a difference to other classes so why couldn't we keep it?
The first thing I'd do after taming a new pet was to cast Eyes of the Beast and run a victory lap around my hunter, I miss this and the connection with the pet that Eyes of the Beast helped to create.
It was a special ability that other pet classes didn't have and now that it's gone our pets feel a little less special and more like tools.
Please please bring it back Blizzard!

Oh man, Eyes of the Beast. I remember... way back in my noob days... I would always use that and stalk peoples' characters with my pet. Herp. I was such a noob. Sometimes I would just use it for the thrill of being my pet. I wish they never removed it; despite me never really using it for fighting, it was a fun spell. ( Don't take me wrong, I'm not a stalker. D: ) I hope they bring it back; this time I won't 'stalk' peoples' characters with it. *Crosses fingers*

I used to have such fun with that ability.... even if it was just in town. I once saw my brother make use of it while leveling. But it was fun regardless.

Re: eyes of the animal
I loved the spell. When I was a noob in TBC, I used to fight things with it, and pretend to be my pet. I have no bloody clue why they removed it, and wish they didnt. I was so bummed when I saw they removed it. (And a wee bit pissed, because they removed Volley, too)

Re: eyes of the animal
I'm pretty sure they removed it when they removed Volley in 4.0.1... I remember cause I was playing my hunter the last few minutes before they shut servers down to add that patch. I volleyed my life away and cried... when things went live again it didn't take long before I noticed Eyes of the Beats was gone too.meepitco wrote:I loved the spell. Re: eyes of the animal
i would love for them to return is as sort of a spell similar to Eye of Kilrogg, link yourself to the pet and run around for the same period of time the eye can, and like the eye, have the pet unable to attack. I'll just be a purely scouting and entertainment spell. And for birds, if they can code it, how about letting them fly?

Yup. If Warlocks got to keep their Eye of Kilrogg, I don't see why we can't keep our Eyes of the Beast.

And priests their Mind Vision. Playing my priest, one of my favorite things to do (before NPCScan) was to locate rares and quest NPCs by either hopping mind to mind, or by hitting '/target' and checking where they were!Vephriel wrote:Yup. Re: eyes of the animal
Cute vid.
I don't miss the noncombat uses particularly, however I recall thinking it was a shame they couldn't have given EotB a (major / persistent) combat role. I don't mean raid pulling, I mean like swapping view from hunter to pet, with some EotB-only tanking buffs, and let your hunter have the pet bar...

Re: eyes of the animal
I miss this too!!! I used to use it in BGs with a stealthing pet because it would help me scout out things before I got into them! I appreciated being able to have that bond with a pet- and that was one of the deciding factors for me in making a hunter to begin with- the fact that you COULD have Eyes of the Beast!
Re: eyes of the animal
I miss EotB, as well. The bitterness in me says Blizz needs to get rid of EoK and MV, too, but I kinda love those two so nay.
I do wish they'd also bring back pet friendship levels but maybe make them purely aesthetic.
