Possible New Species
Hi everyone,
I got the new Warcraft Calendar and I noticed an image in March of what looks like an undead whale. Its really gross. Its possible that this has something to do with Icecrown since I don't raid I can't be sure. Anyone who does know if this is an enemy there? If it really is something coming in Cat it makes me wonder if we could have whale pets in our stables soon.

Re: Possible New Species
Hmm, does anyone have a picture of this mysterious Whale beast?
I have to say I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be tameable if it's an aquatic creature. As Sphax said, it just wouldn't make sense to have sharks and whales swimming beside us in mid-air.

If the image is on your computer go to a place like:

There you can upload it and then link the picture here. Let me know if you need more detailed help.

Re: Possible New Species
Woah that's a cool whale.
As for Sharks/Whales flying out of water: the answer is easy.
Things that live in the water need water to live. When a bird flies in water, it'll eventually get out and dry off. When you take a whale out of water, it dies when it dries out. But pet sharks would be awesome.

Re: Possible New Species
I'm wondering if its a Cat mob because its all burned and stuff. It'd be great to have underwater pets, but you guys might be right lol would be weird to see one on land...and it might die with no water. Then again my worg doesn't have trouble breathing underwater. Still a neat image even if I lost my appetite seeing it

It's creepy because it's like rotting, moldy, and....burning...all at the same time.
And it has people teeth.

Re: Possible New Species
Yeah those are definitely not whale teeth X_X
Pretty freaky! I'd love one of those for a mount though

Re: Possible New Species
This "whale" looks very strange to me...
It is rather furry for a whale, isn't it? Anyone heard of sea creatures with fur?
The scorch marks could be explained by what happens when Deathwing breaks free.
The teeth of this mangled creature do look a bit to human for my taste, don't they?
If it is a whale, why is it glowing from the inside? As if it had a furnace in his body.
Very strange creation, indeed...
Oh, and that discussion about flying submarine pets just reminded me of this:
A friend of mine, who likes trash movies as much as I do, sent me this as an appetizer for our next movie session:
So maybe, if one of Blizz designers saw that movie too...
Anyone interested: The movie is Mega Shark VS Giant Octopus

I think I pulled something laughing at that .gif. I'll have to check that movie out sometime for its bad value. >>
