Sporebats to be *gasp* useful?

Would be nice if Nether Rays, Wind Serpent, or like all other non exotic pets are given an additional skill which buff casters, so BM hunter can use non exotic in a 10 men or 5 men and can use Exotic just because.

Why can't they? I use nonexotics when ever I feel like it. O_o; BMs dont have to.

The extra skills that the exotic pet has sometimes make the exotic pet more useful. water strider vs wolf vs devilsaur or sb vs cat, that extra talent would make exotic more desirable.

I use non-exotics and exotics freely on my BM. I've never felt like I had to bring an exotic pet.

Um...not really. o.o; Half the time, any 'specials' my pets bring are already covered. Spirit beast heal doesnt make or break anything. Devilsaurs extra thing doesn't do squat in my raid. waterstrider's extra waterwalk again doesn't do anything in raiding for me...so....Nah. Exotics are awesome and I want more but I dont feel the need to bring them. A lot of exotics just happen to be models I like.

I've been rolling with my tarantula as BM because he doesn't get focused like my exotics do.

Well, except my shale spider, whose stun means that no one has time to kill her or me.....but that's another story.

That's the same reason I use my (Deth'tilac) Asura! That, and I actually like her, where I just can't bond with any of the silithids so far.

Logged in this afternoon after the micro-patch, and I couldn;t walk anywhere without stepping in sporebat crap. lol nice to see so many people getting them.... but kinda sad because I am no longer the only person on my realm that actually uses one. lol

Huh? We benefit from attack speed the last I checked, not spell haste. The casting speed debuff helps us, but they had that before.

Wait wait wait wait wait wait. Sporebats = useful? Since when?? I've just been using the ones I catch as fish bait!

My spore bat is currently bugged with the 5% spell haste
stacking on his 50% increased cast time debuff i would say he is fairly useful

I just wish they had more color variety. Like a pink or purple one. Or red.

Part of my reluctance to get certain pets beyond a lackluster buff/debuff is lack of variety in color or appearance. I prefer rares but I'm hardly exclusive to them. Sporebats have 3 colors and only one of those is unique. It's not much choice.

Indeed. that's my reluctance with them. They're cute but I dont care for their colors nor is there really a 'rare spawn' of them.

and yes we need blizzard to reinforce Wains recolors of sporebats (And all his other recolors too!! Wains recolores <3<3)

Sporebats intentionally have the spell haste buff; the tooltip just hasn't been updated. Since that didn't go live with Pandaria, I'm guessing that this is another 5.1 fix. But yes, they are supposed to have that buff.

The buggy part is that they still have the casting speed debuff. No other spell haste buff is combined with the casting speed debuff and sporebats aren't even exotic.
