Hey, My new Petopian Hunter on US Nesingwary is level 11!
I tamed his first pet yesterday, a durotar tiger named Vesta, after the roman goddess of the hearth fire!
When I hit level 13 I'll be taming shadowclaw, and call her Nyx, after the greek goddess of night!
As you can tell, i'm taming striped cat looks, and giving them names of goddesses.
What else do you think I should tame?
A Rak'shiri named Skadi after the Norse Goddess of winter and the hunt?

Personally, I would consider getting a pure white/pure black cat. Then you can tell people they're white/black and have the same color stripes.

Artemis was the Hellenic goddess of forests and hills, childbirth, virginity, fertility, the hunt, and often was depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows.

That is such an awesome name, and the meaning behind it as well is fantastic.
I believe I will have to name my pet Artemis.

Yup what Vephriel said. Artemis was sister to Apollo God of the Sun. Artemis is also considered to be the Greek goddess of the Moon and a huntress.
By the way its Artemis not Artimis...spelled it wrong the first time lol

Hmm, Perhaps I should call my Durotar Tiger Apollo, and Shadowclaw Artemis?
Then they can turn into a Zulian Tiger and Rak'Shiri.

I Think that would be cool
For the red tigers Apollo fits great! Then the tigers in darkshore would fit Artemis great because they have the dark night like look lol.
As far as Rak'Shari goes there are a few other gods /goddess that might fit well with him/her.
Like Aqualia....meaning...uh...my mythology fails me currently lol. Dont think that is a gods name but of a warrior like person similar to Hercules, demi-god maybe.

Why settle for Rak when you can get a Horde friend to summon Shy-Rotam? Then you can name her Bastet, the Egyptian Cat goddess....

I've decided on Apollo for Red Tiger, Nyx for Shadowclaw, and Artemis for Rak'shiri/Shy-Rotam. ^^
