I one shot it at 698 item level, but was super close. I derped a bit on flaring her, so she kinda kicked my butt a little. Some other players showed up and helped me finish the last 5% on her, tho.
I kinda rushed in head first, so I didn't have all my bindings set up, hence the derping on the flaring her stealth.

True, best if it was a scenario of some kind. Still, though, even if you do it with a group, it only speeds up the process. If you don't adhere to the rules of the fight, she'll still wreck you with her Blessing of Fallen King.
What I like is how it gets you to use your full hunter toolkit. Master's Call, Bestial Wrath, Counter Shot, Tranquilizing Shot, Concussive Shot, Binding Shot, Traps... all encouraged to be used.
By the way, killed it twice in a group of 2 hunters and only one vial dropped. Respawn was consistently about 5 mins.
I watched the QnA with Watcher, and he mentioned there were some with "passion projects" that took special time to do, mentioned some even came in on weekends. While I believe the direct context was the S.E.L.F.I.E. camera, the challenging hunter tames was also mentioned.
So if this Felwolf (and Gara for that matter) falls into this catagory, someone coming in on extra time to work on this because of a passion for it, I want to say a special thank you. Feels good having someone with our passion!

I really am happy with all the attention we've gotten Seems like both Hunters and warlocks have been getting some neat new things. Green fire, new demon models, unique taming methods.
Maybe one day we can have a quest like the Green fire, allowing us to tame an entirely new family. *cough*dread ravens or pterrorwings*cough*

Yes! <3 It's so wonderful to have these taming mysteries to solve and find. I really love the unique challenge it adds to pets like this. Feels more immersive than just a long camp.
