Of course its the first pass of these new beasties, but I wonder if they plan on making neutral/hostile skins available for alliance or horde friendly feathermanes.

I can't imagine they wouldn't. They may have already and we just haven't found the beasts yet. I chanced upon Jetwing while checking in the Hinterlands. Who knows what else is out there? I had a long look through Twilight Highlands but if there are any new ones there I must have missed them.

BTW, I have the device for summoning Empyrean on my shammy. I can organize to check him later :) Even if he is tameable, though, it's probably not ideal since the device is rare now and Horde have several common options for blue. I do love that he's hard to get though :)

Any news if any of the potential new tames have become tameable on ptr?

has anyone even seen the wolfhawks as NPCs?

unless someone has I get the feeling them and the other new class mount uniques won't be making an appearance as pets, no matter how much the priest owl cat thing looks like it would make a kicking pet.

Which do you mean? All the ones we're mentioning above are ones we're taming now on the PTR :)

I feel like there might be a corrupted hippogryph hiding somewhere, I'm just not sure if it would be in the Broken Isles or somewhere on the old world (Outland SMV?)

If they add a corrupted hippo to the broken isles, I vote this cave. It's up on the side of the cliff in Azsuna, near the murloc pvp area. So you'd need either pathfinder or to climb the cliff and drop from above to get to it (decreases chance of a random/lowbie murdering it), and it currently has 0 purpose.

All that is inside are two Blue new-model hippos.

Riding Gryphon (ID 84104) in Arak: can't see on my Hordie. I'm going to assume it's simply unavailable / untameable by anyone.

Theramore Gryphon not tameable by Horde.

Hatching of the Hippogryphs has begun. Lorthalium not tameable.

BTW, as far as I can tell the wolfhawk model still lacks attack animations, other than an attack while flying. If that's correct then it's not ready to become a hunter pet anyway. I have looked all around the isles and not seen any. I somehow imagined them nesting on the steep mountainsides of Highmountain and maybe Stormheim.

Also can't check Empyrean yet, as Dire Maul is giving "Instance not found" errors.

I'm so glad this is happening—hippogryphs have been my favourite mount type for forever, and even though I'm still super bummed about the acquisition method of the long-forgotten hippogryph ("fighting" an entire server plus CRZ for ONE spawn was harrowing enough, now having to race to be the first to find FIVE? without dying or getting phased to a different Azsuna? ugh) that's my favourite by far and I'm so glad it's actually avaialble.

The Mac PTR client keeps bopping between useable and "doesn't include the executable and therefore can't be opened" every build, so I probably won't get to join in the hunt for new rares or newly-added skins 'til live, but keep me us posted for sure! <3

(Alliance-tameable purple one needs to be found asap because I can't afford to go Horde just for a pet, even if I did consider it during Hatimog days, lol)

Yeah their Mac clients haven't been stable. It seems every second build the executable is missing from the package. I've been using the Windows client via Bootcamp.

Forgot to comment on this. But this is a huge disappointment to me. I seriously hoping they would get something cool like Pridewing Poison or SOMETHING. This is going to sound bad gut I feel updraft is a pretty useless special. Especially since we can use the eagle feathers in a pinch or goblin gliders and not have to take up an active pet slot. Just my opinion though.

I'm actually excited to get a slowfall on a non-exotic class. If we go into DPS specials, we'll be coming full circle on pets. Some pets will be better DPS than others, and like hell I want be stuck using certain pets to pull max numbers (launch survival hunters having a choice of 3 pets, anyone?) -- I'm glad it's this way. Very excited to finally have a pet I've wanted since '05 days & to have it be incredibly useful to my non-BM self.

Slowfall could be a placeholder. I have no intel on this but I'd wait a couple of builds and see what happens.
