You left halcyon there. That was one I checked and confirmed as not keeping its name. Otherwise, the work continues!

..just not now. That was like 6 hours of goofing around on my end lol

Fixed, thanks :) The reason is that I was doing a bulk-change and it's "Halycon" not "Halcyon". I always misspell that one, since it's not the word I expect.

I'm doing a slow run through the names that are still on the "tamenamessuggest" page, and will update as I verify names. If I can make a suggestion, it would be helpful to have (on that page itself) a "last updated" date/time, so we can cross-reference posts here, and avoid duplicating work others have already completed.
The following beasts now retain their names:
Githyiss the Vile 1994 Kalimdor Teldrassil
Lady Sathrah 7319 Kalimdor Teldrassil
The Kurken 17447 Kalimdor Azuremyst Isle
Death Ravager 17556 Kalimdor Azuremyst Isle
Deathclaw 17661 Kalimdor Bloodmyst Isle
Zarakh 17683 Kalimdor Bloodmyst Isle
All six are quest mobs (! on the portrait). I'll add more as I go through the list.

I think it's safe to say that any quest-specific enemy that has the quest marker on its portrait keeps its name. As Oscar points out, all six are quest mobs, and they kept their names. Of course, checking unchecked mobs still helps, but those seem to be part of a pattern (that I like).

I just tamed both of these and they don't keep their names, sadly.

Thanks. The last couple you've mentioned are actually already flagged in our database. Is there somewhere you're seeing them listed as not retaining their names?

The rest are all updated. Thank you!

I didn't know they were checked recently. Before pre-patch, the two crabs I mentiond didn't keep their name. I was just going off info I remembered, is all. Just consider it re-confirmation that it's a thing! lol

Ah ok :) I was worried some list was still showing old info. The current list is here: https://www.wow-petopia.com/tamenamesuggest.php

It automatically updates as I flag things.

Rockhide the Immovable
Roardan the Sky Terror
doesnt retain their name

but Lost Gilnean Wardog and Blackshell the Impenetrable will retain their name now for german players too!
Someone needs to suggest a glyph for random companion pet to Muffinus - with 200 pets swapping the second pet gets exhausting :D
