Grimhowl (armoured darkhound)

Unread post by Darknez »

The NPC is considered "friendly" but also marked as tameable.

I've considered an elaborate method of taming, but have no idea if any of this is feasible.

Can a Dark Iron warlock create a summoning stone within the Dark Iron starting area?
If so - can you summon non-Dark Iron characters in - specifically, a horde hunter!
Is Grimhowl then tamable by those horde hunters?

I'm leaning toward no. Generally, Blizz will make it so that other races cannot get access to places that are specific to one class or race.

Yeah, that's my expectation too... but was hoping someone had tried before I potentially waste time :D

So, I got around to testing it today.
Created a Dark Iron warlock (class trial).

I was able to summon a summoning stone
I could use summoning stone to summon another Dark Iron (didn't try any other race, as even if it worked the hound would likely still be friendly)
However, even though you can have groups with horde members now, the game won't let you summon someone from the other faction to anywhere but a dungeon/raid.
