(*HOTFIXED*) Baby mammoths tamed!

Unread post by Fangzzs »

Two baby mammoths are tamable in the Azure Span at level 65:

These are probably unintentional so please don't get attached even though they are cute pets haha. Maybe Blizzard will be nice and let us keep them but you never know when it comes to these things. It could go the stunted direhorn way or the baby wolf way. When in doubt, tame, enjoy and screenshot to remember them if they do get hotfixed. I do hope they stay though! I mean come on, look at those eyes!

You have to go up to lvl 65 to tame them.

I just went with my hunter 60 (a problematic trip), to see that these babies are lvl 65 (other animals in the area are not, they are still 60...)

I went there as soon as I hit 64 and was able to tame both. Thanks for the heads up OP :)

Worth mentioning Oopa is also tameable as a baby mammoth

https://www.wowhead.com/npc=187871/oopa

Couldn't find it where it was flagged though. Quest mob?

Also, this is another baby pet flagged as tameable though I don't know where it is

Oopa is a friendly npc during a quest for the tuskarr. I havent seen the messenger mallard but id assume its the same. There is a baby bear on wowhead but I found the npc and it isn't flagged as tamable in game.

That was a friendly NPC you ride during a fun quest with Kalecgos, sadly. There's not an attackable version.

I'm still only 64, but I went out to tame those baby mammoths last night. I figure I'll have them with me when I'm questing so that I can enjoy them for a bit, just in case Blizz takes them away.

I have finally tamed them, I have stopped leveling the raid pj to level up my hunter.

They are precious, I hope they don't remove them.

Reaching lvl 63 is fine, you can tame them.

No, there are 2 types of baby mammoths (the points are above, see the maps). Some are blue and others are brown.
