Few minor changes:
  • All reduced healing debuffs are now 10% (down from 25%)
  • Changed the following abilities from Druid to Druid (Balance/Resto):
    • Hibernate
    • Cyclone
    • Entangling Roots
    • Remove Corruption
    • Soothe
I came to the decision that while Ferals technically can use all those abilities, they are no more capable of dropping form to cast them than Shadowpriests are capable of dropping shadowform to use holy spells. I think popping out of form once in a while to cast a battle rez is a different situation from constantly having to drop form to cleanse a serial debuff or chain-crowd-control something.

If any super-helpful and self-sacrificing Ferals (or spriests for that matter) out there decide they don't mind dropping form to do these things, that's up to them, but it shouldn't be expected of them.

Updated for Beetles' new ability Hardened Carapace, which is similar to Turtles' Shell Shield. Don't think this affects RaidChecklist since it's not a raid buff.

Added Zeilla8's related Pet Buff video to the front page. Thanks for the plug! <3

Few changes/updates:
  • Removed Overgrowth from the crowd control sheet. I don't think it's an ability anymore? I can't find it...
  • Changed Frostfire Bolt from Mage (Fire) to Mage
  • Changed Ring of Frost from Mage (Frost) to Mage
  • Changed Abomination's Might from Death Knight to Death Knight (Blood)
  • Changed Thunder Clap from Warrior to Warrior (Protection)
  • Added Assassination Rogue's Deadly Brew as a slow
  • Added a new Source column to all sheets that denotes whether the ability is trained, a talent, a specialization, from a pet or from an item (poison). Talents and Pet abilities have an extra column that says exactly what talent or pet is used.
You'll only find the source information on the big spreadsheets on googledocs. I added a new sheet (similar to the one I have for Crowd Control) for the Buffs/Debuffs/Abilities just to show their sources as well. Also, I used an asterisk (Talent*) to denote the talents that are within the first two tiers of a tree (meaning that any spec can potentially get that talent at level 85), so those might require different coding for RaidChecklist (or not, I have no clue).

That's all for now... back to taming pets on the beta! Squeeeeee.....

Few fixes and one big addition today:
  • Denoted the required level for all trained abilities (only viewable on the spreadsheet)
  • Hungering Cold (Frost Death Knight) changed from trained to talent
  • Shadowfury (Demo Warlock) changed from trained to talent
  • Permafrost (Frost Mage) added as a reduced healing debuff
  • Remove Curse (Mage) added as a remove curse ability
By the way, adding in all the levels brought up a curiosity for me: do all hunter pets start out with all of their abilities as soon as you train them, or is that level-based as well? Wowhead didn't have any data on this for me. If no one knows, I may have to level a lowbie hunter on the beta just to find out...

RaidChecklist has now caught up with these changes. I still need to revamp it to look for individual talents rather than assume the person has taken the relevant talent, but there's no point in doing that until Blizz fixes inspection, as doing it earlier would just reduce the functionality of RaidChecklist.

HUGE update since last time. Well it may not seem huge, but it was a lot of work:
  • Added Spell and Item IDs for, well, everything.
    • Talent spell IDs point to the talent rather than the spell the talent adjusts (in applicable cases).
    • Multi-point talents have all the spell IDs listed and separated by commas. Note that the higher the spell ID number, the more points are in the talent.
    • Poisons and Glyphs are marked with their Item ID rather than Spell IDs. Wound poison has several IDs for its various versions.
  • Added required levels for rogue poisons and glyphs
  • Added School Resistance abilities (fire/frost/nature/shadow)
  • Removed Glyph of Hamstring as it no longer exists
  • Re-added Carrion Birds' Demoralizing Screech ability, which somehow had gotten knocked off the list.
Big and exciting changes are in the works for RaidChecklist as a result of the Spell ID info and Anyia being awesome!! I look forward to seeing everything!! <3

...STILL waiting patiently to find out what the Shale Spiders' Special Ability will be. Once we know, I think the Pet Usage Flowchart and Ability List will be complete!

After working on it most of the day, I managed to complete the massive overhaul of RaidChecklist with a mere 8 minutes to spare before the realms shut down and Azeroth as we knew it disappeared forever!

Thanks to Malazee's hard work the new version of RaidChecklist (4.0.4beta1) is now capable of scanning people for individual talents, making it far more accurate than when it could only check what the primary tree was.

That's not the only new thing, and maybe not even the biggest new thing! You can now click on an entry in the checklist to open a detailed information panel showing precisely which ability or talent RaidChecklist is actually looking for. All abilities are hyperlinked and can be clicked to bring up the standard tooltip for the ability, in effect making it possible to browse your way through the entire database of information!

Given the volume of data that RaidChecklist deals with, I would be surprised if there aren't a few mistakes lurking in there still (probably mine!), so if you find something that doesn't look right, please point it out to myself or Malazee.

Teeny tiny update/fix:
  • Rogue poisons now use their Spell IDs (thanks Anyia!) instead of their Item IDs. Much better!
  • Demoralizing Shout changed from Warrior (Protection) to Warrior

Ummm, none of the tables have the Worm pet listed.

Exotic, Tenacity, Physical Damage Debuff, Nature Damage AoE (Drops Threat)

And the Chimaera AoE is Nature-Frost Hybrid (just for purpose of elemental immune targets). Similarily, the Dragonhawk and Wind Serpent debuffs are Fire and Nature based, respectively. It's minor points, but points nonetheless.
Skrimir - Level 85, and never did a single Northrend or Cataclysm Quest/Dungeon. Gogo Archaeology!
My Stables - Still trying to find a name for my Raptor, in a Final Fantasy genre-styling.

Oh, uh... I updated this a while ago but forgot to say something 'cause it's so minor. Freezing trap's CD and duration were fixed such that it is no longer "unreliable." Changed that info on the sheets.

And BTW... if you haven't checked out RaidChecklist lately, I strongly suggest you do so. This mod is so super powerful -- it's pretty much just an in-game version of MMO's Raid Composition Tool (which was my goal from Day 1 of starting these spreadsheets). Anyia is just that awesome. And even though that tool was finally updated yesterday, I think RaidChecklist is going to become an irreplaceable part of every raid leader's repertoire, a la Big Brother and DXE.

And thanks Kalliope ;)

Thanks for the poke - I was supposed to have made that change in RaidChecklist too quite a while back. Finally got it done now (and updated German translations). I've just released 4.0.4beta2 with these updates.

Today I learned that mages are special. They really have 22 Arcane talents. There are only 21 Arcane talents on the tab. There is a phantom talent in there.

If you wonder why RaidChecklist can't seem to inspect mages at the moment, it's because of that ghost.
