Exciting Pet Needed (Wolf, Cat, Preferably DPS pet)

Unread post by Briaries »

Hi guys, long time reader, first time poster...

Im tired of the monotony of your everyday wolf and cat. Im looking for that pet that never gets old, ive browsed the classes and everything, just wanted to get your guys' input. I like skins that are uncommon and that will make people say, "Where'd you get that?".

Right now I have Echeyakee and Humar, my favorite cats for obvious reasons :D . The pet i have been using is the Shattered Hand Warhound, because I like the fact that it is very different from all the rest.

Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated :) . I prefer rare pets because I enjoy the hunt!!! But regular ones can work as well.

For uniqueness but not the tougness of being rare to find I would suggest a Vargul Blighthound.
But for uniqueness and ultimate rareness King Krush.

Hm.. when I raid I use this wolf. He looks common, but when you click on him, he barks! It isn't just the same sound over and over- there are several different barks he'll do. I find it helps with the monotony of heroics and whatnot.

Plus I love the old world wolf model, there's so much life to it.

If you're looking for something that pops out, you might want to consider this cat or this wolf. However, I tend to see that skin of wolf a lot, but it IS drastically different than all other wolves.

For Wolves I've always been rather fond of the look of Ironjaw.

I don't see him that often despite him being common, and I think the mixture of colours is really beautiful.

Another skin that I never see is the red one:

I think it's really under-appreciated. ^^

How about a hyena? :D They're often overlooked yet so lovable. I'm fond of the red skin, but a lot of them are quite nice when you give them a closer look.

For cats here are the ones i like ^ ^

If you'd like something other then wolf/cat as a dps pet i suggest Wasps, Raptors and Hyenas ( not too many seen as they are usually used for pvp but they are still effective!)

Yeah, I really don't care for the Blighthound, myself, either. I tamed one out of curiosity once, but I hated the run animation, and it's a rather small pet.

If you're looking for other dps options, I'd say look into raptors. You might like the outland style, and those come in five different colors. You can check out all the raptor skins here. I rarely see anyone with the OL raptors, and I'll admit they aren't my favorite, but they are rather striking.

The great thing about cats and wolves is they have so many models and skins to choose from.

Rare Cats:

Araga - While most players won't see her as special, she is a rare spawn with a unique skin for her model (Basically, she has the lionskingold skin over a tiger model). She used to have a ringed tail many patches ago, but these where removed. =(

Aqua Nightsaber - Two cats with this skin, one is a rare and the other spawns only with a quest.

Cursed Offspring of Har'koa - Not rare spawn, but a very unique glossy skin with glowing eyes to boot!

Ghost Saber - Ghostly cat that is randomly spawned when clicking on Cat Figurines.

Rare Wolves:

Ironjaw - Not a rare but is a named mob with a unique skin.

Old Cliff Jumper - Rare and unique skin.

Vargul Blighthound - While not rare, it has a unique model and skin for a wolf. However, because these wolves are in the higher levels I do see a lot of hunters with them.

Warhounds - Also not rare but have a unique model for taming and can only be tamed in an instance.

The barking wolves Spot and Prairie Wolf - Not rare or a unique in terms of look, but they bark when you click on them! Also, Spot can only be tamed by horde.

Lets see.... Exciting...

Are you beastmaster exclusive? If so, I can recommend a few exciting pets.

Devilsaurs are better dps for raids, but for fun, I prefer

One of my favorites, hard(er) to tame and great for PvP.

I don't really feel like this is so much the "Post-Modern" era as much as its the "Pre-Zombie-Apocalpse" era. I consider myself more of a forward thinking guy and an era that just won't die is just as feasible as a coming era, where the dead come back.
