Blizzard changed an ingame characters pet!

This is actually quite interesting and I'm pretty sure anyone who has run an Alliance character through the BC content would notice this once they looked. Over in honor hold, right at the beginning quest lines in Hellfire Peninsula, There is a quest that involves you going and feeding a dog named Fei Fei a treat to find some spirit beads. Now, while I was never sure if this particular Dog was ever tamable for the horde, I always found it cool that we got to see pets like that in game (Like Spot in Theramore).

Low and behold my absolute surprise when I pass through Honor Hold again, trying to grind up my mining and engineering, when I discovered that Blizzard changed Fei Fei's model from that of a Coyote wolf to that of the Perky Pug! Told my guild about it and we all had a great laugh at it, but it makes me wonder now. Was Fei Fei ever tamable by the horde in the first place? And is it NOW, particularly with the Perky Pug model?

When I checked, nearly a year ago, Fei Fei was not tamable on my troll huntress. Sadface.

Would be interesting to check up on him again, always worth a shot!

Ah, that's too bad. Kinda thought it would be funny if it turned out to be tamable and someone had manage to fandangle a combat Perky Pug XD
