Anyone Else Have this Problem?

I don't quite know where to post this, so feel free to move it. I haven't seen this topic on the board either so I'm sorry if I'm reposting something that's been said.


But anyway...every time I run out of the inn in Dalaran whatever pet I currently have doesn't follow me out the door. Instead it runs up the stairs and over to the Silver Covenant and out THAT door instead. It happens EVERY time. And I'm beginning to think I'm the only one that has this problem.

Anyone else notice if their pet is doing the same thing?

Mine too. Very annoying. I also noticed that if I run in again and then slowly go through the door, it'll come with me.

Yup, he starts talking ... doing the arthas thing ...

... Sits there for a few minutes after reminding us we gotta hurry... then eventually he kinda blinks on in and just APPEARS there.

I also notice that when I hearth from anywhere... as soon as I show up on the screen my character (not my pet) stands there and shakes in fear... I think the emote is either /shiver, /scared, or /cower... or I could be totally wrong.

It looks funny... it's like I am scared to look because I am not sure if the hearth stone is working til I pop into the world.

Yep, lots of weird pathing bugs came with this last patch. Most notably the two people have mentioned already.

Pent, you probably have one of the now rare "pets" in your bags that cause you to do a quick /cower whenever you zone. The item is called "Haunted Memento", and here is a wowhead link for it: http://www.wowhead.com/item=40110/haunted-memento

It was a semi-frequent acquired item during one of the Scourge Invasions. This will give you a "buff" that says "Haunted: Something is with you..." As long as you don't pull out a mini-pet, you will be followed by a non-targetable ghostly shade (think Eye of Naxxramas type of shade).

*gasp* So that's why I always used to cower! I had that thing in my bag for ages, and never made the connection.

Yes! If you have a Haunted Memento, hang on to it! Most likely they will never be available once again. Just remember that they are Unique (only one per character), and you CAN accidentally toss the Memento to another player if you have them targeted and right-click the Memento. Even if you pull out a mini-pet, the "Haunted" buff remains listed on your character. They are truly a unique item Blizz decided to grant us with!

Oh for sure I'm keeping mine. I'm a minipet collector so I got it ages ago. ^^ I just stopped carrying it in my equipped bags because I got bored of the ghost, but it's safely stowed in my bank.

Oh good I farmed about 5 or 6 of those things back when the Invasion was on, I was pretty smart to realize they'd be a one-time thing. I've never sold one and never will! They are so precious <3
