Bye Bye Basin! And Storm Peaks! :D

Unread post by Loethlin »

Upon logging in, I was like this:
Image
And sure enough. this is now 3/3 times yelling like a Klingon in /g gave me what I wanted.

Not five minutes later, NPCScan goes BLING BLING HOOT HOOT!
And there was another Alliance hunter therre, we were racig, and I only have a 150% mount on my hunter, but I landed, started taming...

Image

Yes! Loque'nahak, you are now MINE!

Image

I was shaking with adrenaline, tears down my face, could hardly type...
And this hunter, Maurudin... he was a real gentleman, really. Didn't pull him off, didn't shoot him, nothing of the sort.
Then again, everyone in his guild are super awesome. :)

I named him Enterprise.
I don't particularly like naming spirit beasts in Star Trek fashion, but.
When I think back about trying to tame Loque, how time consuming it was, how I was racing with many hunters who tried to tame him, and people who wanted to kill him for an achievement, and how nerve-grating some of these people were...
Taming Loque'nahak really was a big enterprise.

Congrats! I nabbed my Loque awhile back and I love having him around! I named mine Islington, and he really does have such a great personality. Hope you and Enterprise have many adventures together!

oh, just beware the Tribbles.

Hearing others' epic "Searching for Loque'nahak" tales makes me more grateful that Loque came to me so quickly when I went searching.

I hadn't heard of NPCscan, had only the vaguest idea where to search, and a basic "/tar Loque'nahak" macro.
It's a wonder I found and tamed Loque at all, much less the first late night I went circling the basin!

I would have searched for weeks, months however long it took, because to me it was worth it. I hope those who are still looking are successful very soon!

HOLY CRAP!

Update!

So there I was, in Storm Peaks, thinking, ah, what the hell, I have an hour before the raid.
I flew over Frosthold, passed a horde and an alliance hunters on my way, flying the opposite direction, which didn't bode well, but decided to stick to the routine.
And then!

Image

Of course, that Jormungar next to his pop spot started chewing on me.
Skoll, to the rescue!

Image

Skoll, you are now MINE! I caught 'em all!

Image

I cannot believe my luck today. I caught Loque'nahak and Skoll on the very same day!
And all four spirit beasts in just eight days! After camping them from the moment I hit the particular level I could tame each of them!
...Maybe I should ride it and go back to the Basin after all, to look for King Krush? O.o

Anyway.
I named him Sírius.
I had to do the funny i because the regular name is reserved. But I just HAD TO call him this. Sirius is the Dog Star, yes, but also the brightest star in the night sky. I just can't imagine a name fitting him better.

Congrats! :D

I was lucky to find Skoll (Reverie) on my second day of circling, but Loque still eludes me. I want to steal some of your luck.

btw, always good to meet another Star Trek fan (and there's nothing wrong with yelling like a klingon in /g). Wecome to the boards!

Thanks so much, everyone!
To be quite honest, I'd probably quit looking for them long ago if not for the awesome taming stories I read here. :)

Congrats! :D Hehe, the positive atmosphere seems to help! :D I'm really enjoying this community myself. It's laid back but enthusiastic and mature. :) I'm not much of a forumer, because of the not too hidden trolls on most other sites, but petopia seems different. <3
Congrats again for both of the beasts. :D I've now got "calling occupants" playing on my head after seeing the name of your loque. o.O;

I'm finally in the same boat since the parrot doesn't appeal to me in the least. I hope I don't change my mind and go with a pirate tame Orc. Oh, man. I think I am ......

Nooo, guys, come on...
Alright, the power of the parrot compels me, but I'm sick of that bushy, green crowded place...
What do?! :(

Well, I know in Cata there will be some good colors (I like the green and yellow and red and green macaws. :D), although if you know about Aotona's spawn time it's not too bad.
