You do not have a pet to summon.

Unread post by Ceravan »

Everytime I visit the stables, and then go to summon a pet that I pulled from the stable I get the nice little red lettering saying You do not have a pet to summon.

Anyone else have this problem?

I am, and I ticketed it with no anwser - relogging does not help me and neither does completely exiting WoW. I've done everything I can think of and am a very sad hunter at the moment.. Which is why I'm working on my night elf mage its VERY frustrating... I tamed my red warpie and my mastiff AND then tried to tame Ashtail who was up and it wouldnt let me because "I all ready had a pet..even though I didnt.."

Yeah I have it too. Now, I'll summon a pet right when I'm at the stable master to check - shuffling the pets in the active stable slots fixes it - and I won't stable/unstable while mounted. Very frustrating bug. I'm glad I keep a "just in case" spot open in my active stables, I've had to pick up a few temp pets the last two days.

Mm hmm, I noticed this a lot yesterday, but as Sara said shuffling the pets around in the active slots fixes it for me.

This bug happens when you put the pet that's out right now into the stable without switching it around with another pet. Let's say for example that you have a Dog out right beside you, and you place it in the stable slot that has a Cat, those two switch around, so you can summon the Cat no problem afterwards. However if you place the Dog into an empty stable slot, then take the Cat out of its stable slot into your active slot that previously had the Dog, then you won't be able to summon any active pets at all.

My guess is that it has to do with the hotfix on the 23rd.

A second pet can no longer be summoned when the active pet is dead.

It happened to me too but when I went from Kalimdor to EK, it fixed itself.

Yeah, count me in too.

Like every mentioned... shuffling around the pets in the active slots fixes it. I wonder if it has anything to do with the first slot being empty, because when I had it happen to me I moved a pet to the first slot and it worked fine after that.

I need more hunters, IMO.

I've had that.

I've also had my pet disappear periodically after dismounting or leaving a vehicle, with my character's own name and portrait appearing in my pet's place on the status bar.
