Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
The title says it all. Lordy lordy. Seagulls. Seaguls. Seagulls. Remove or fix? The way it moves, the way it attacks, everything about it. Removed or fixed? i've alwats sorta wanted a retired pet look XD
Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
I would enjoy seeing a few pets go retired maybe in the future. Some of the more / harder pets to tame. Maybe Chromaggus after a few patches if they remake BWL. Besides that no pets should be removed.

I'd rather none get retired, thank you.
Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
While I don't think I'd want to see seagulls removed, yes... Their flying animation is pretty horrendous. Sure, it's not bad as an idle flapping motion, but everything else? No...Polartail wrote:The title says it all. Lordy lordy. Seagulls. Seaguls. Seagulls. Remove or fix? The way it moves, the way it attacks, everything about it. I don't think pets should be removed. :/ Bugs fixed yes, but pets shouldn't be removed. I don't like the concept of removing a pet just so someone has a "retired" pet. If someone want something unique, there are plenty of hard to get pets out there.

I'd like that bug where birds fly way over your head or dip down super low to the ground fixed. Liora's Brilliant Macaw is a pain because of it. However, I hope no pet gets removed. As cool as it would be to have a retired pet, I'd rather see more "I just tamed my dream pet!" posts than own a special pet nobody else can get.

Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
Personally it seems a little selfish to want to see pets get retired/removed from the game, especially if it's a pet you have tamed and don't want to see others with it. =/
I like the idea the more pets than ever are tameable, I don't want to see that get taken away.

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel a special kinship with other hunters who have the same rare pets as I do. After all, they would have equal appreciation for what it took to get it in the first place.
I don't care about being a special snowflake. I'd rather that no more pets were retired.

Ditto previous posts about non-removal. 'nuff said
One the subject of pets that need to be FIXED, however...
Seagull - Needs a real flight animation, not just idle flap
Mining Monkey - Needs an auto-attack and a better grip on its pick
Demon-dogs - Needs a swim animation

And in case you should wonder, and in case you should care...on that night of all nights, we were already there.

Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
I admit that I quite liked it when I was one of two people on the server with a tamed Gezzarak. That said, I don't regret that they made her tameable again, no matter what I say. I'm very happy that other hunters get the chance to tame their dream pet, and would rather they didn't retire pets. I understand why some of them are (ones that were never meant to be tamed), but still, ngh. It makes me feel sad. :/
As for fixing, I have to admit, I love the idle flap-glide that my seagull does, and I love it when it flies high over my head. I'd rather they fix the ones that are close to the ground, or have poor walking/running animation, of course. Obviously big bugs like the auto-attack on the monkey, and the colossus' not moving, are *especially* things that should get repaired!

Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
i would not want any pets to be retiered. Almost every time i get a pet that is hard to obtain i rush off to find all my hunter friends, spend 3 min showing him off then set out to help them find the pet for themselves. I like having a rare pet but there is a kind of kinship between those who are devoted enough to get it. it would break my heart if they where devoted but too slow to get a pet before it was removed for some reason.
as for bug fixes, i would just love to be able to use my brain bug. she seems to be stuck in a coma at the moment and refuses to move. XD

All I can say is I wish they would reskin Araga....god knows she was hard enough to get but to remove her then make her a common is painful

Well she's no longer in the game, far as we know....so...reskinning her is kinda moot.Darsurion wrote:All I can say is I wish they would reskin Araga....god knows she was hard enough to get but to remove her then make her a common is painful

About the brain bugs, I would really like them fixed: right now whenever they do the looking around animation there's this loud thump. It's making me crazy!

Not moot if she is still in your stable..........

It would be pointless reskinning a retired mob. Now if Araga was still around, then it might be plausible.Darsurion wrote:Not moot if she is still in your stable..........
Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
I must agree to disagree on that one ....
On a completely different point anyone else bothered to get this one....

This just this. Araga is special enough to me; I love her as is. I also love the fact that if I want her skin in the future I don't have to park myself in hillsbrad and pray she spawns and I find her before someone else does- and you know what? I've not seen 45684569046 hunters with Araga's skin.Golden wrote:It would be pointless reskinning a retired mob. Anyways.
No :DMaybe Chromaggus after a few patches if they remake BWL. Besides that no pets should be removed.
Why?
Cause not everyone who wants Chrom can get to Chrom, or can shell out the 1k or so gold that is starting to be mandatory for Chrom. Chromaggus is rare and unique and hard to obtain enough to NOT need to be retired. Ever. And if they did retire Chromaggus well I would demand Chromaggus' skin be put ingame elsewhere because dear, I do NOT want another Sapphire Hive Queen/Spirit of Aratha again!
And for fixing; Silithid ants. Make them ALL tameable. Need moar ants.

Agreed. They have proper animations, and most of them are even classified as Beasts and have diets.Ryai wrote:And for fixing; Silithid ants. Make them ALL tameable. Need moar ants.
Re: Pets that you think should be removed or fixed.
Two things prompted my comment and everyone has their own (and valid) opinion.
In my mind when considering pets I have an order of priority of which Unique Skin Rare Elites are the highest...I am kinda bummed we lost at least 3 in the patch (araga, mazz and strider).
The other factor is when the new stable spots came out I came up with my ideal list and got them all but Araga was the one that took the longest time...my holdout....so i have a soft spot for her.
Right now Zora is being a bitch but I will get over that too.
