I don't know HOW anyone would pull it off, but... He's tameable.

would help if I got the right pic.

People are getting realm firsts already? That's just scary.

Anyways, back on topic: I don't think the tame will be as difficult as getting enough healers to actually go along with such a crazy scheme.

... I want it.

Anyways you really just need to confirm a few things;

Does he: Charge? If not- this is a bonus. Does he knockback? Again if not, this is a bonus. Yes he may hit hard but come level 85 when you have nearly 100k hp, this should be easier. He's Cataclyms' Devilsaur/King Krush.

Figure

Step One: get alot of HP
Step Two: Stack haste like it's goin outta style!
Step Three: Get a temporary Core Hound for Hysteria
Step Four: Haste Potion
Step Five: Max range tame

And Profit.

... unless he's like Terrorpene and he hurls fireballs at you from a distance cause well then you're screwed.

The irony of taming a corehound as a throwaway pet in order to tame another corehound that looks the exact same...

The downscaling on that guy will make your new pet look like a speck!

and? It's possible he could have different SFX like Beast and Magmadar [I can prove Beast does have different SFX, tamed him on Harp], the other thing is well, some people- like me, just want a difficult tame like this [IE King Mosh/Dread/Beast/Chromaggus/etc].

Mean how many people can say 'Oh I tamed King Mosh when I was 70 when wtfpwned lv 70's still' :p

Mean this is a True challenging tame. Not a Blizzards sorry excuse of lets make alot of rares that are required for achievements so not only do you have to camp upwards of a year; you have to fight other people for the right!

I understand the challenge; I merely found the irony to be humorous. Believe me, I'd respect anyone who can pull it off.

One shotting eh? Would need a priest bubble, some other hunter for misdirection perhaps, assuming he's immune to movement speed reductions or dazing...

I can confirm the this jumbo corehound is not only tamable but is not immune to traps, he managed to get one hit on me before the trap went of which dealt 32k damage and then it was just waiting for the tame to finish.

Well that kinda kills the challenge, doesn't it? Launch a Freezing Trap in his path, wait for him to freeze, then run up and tame without worrying about the trap breaking anytime soon.

I wonder if this will change, though - a hunter will have absolutely no trouble removing this behemoth from the area just by taming and abandoning. If only Fel Reavers were that easy to dispose of back in the day...
