Actually regarding Mongress and Deathhowl, they did remove a spawn point from each of them, from what I have seen Mongress won't spawn in the tree anymore and Deathhowl won't spawn up on his lil ridge. And yes, I do believe the spot near the road is new for him. I have seen him in the other three spots but never once just on the road. Mongress may have lost two, inside tree and right near the Tauren girl who sends you to the sanctuary. I don't know for sure about the second one, but I know for sure she won't spawn in the tree anymore since you can't get her out :P

As for Olm, I do think it would be neat if he became one of the birds circling Aviana's tree in Hyjal ! :D It would be so fitting now that he is dead (lore) :P

Why?

Why make a rare be put into a high traffic zone, and buffed what 30 levels or so?

Just why?

See brackets. Lore.

Anyway, it don't mean it should happen, but it would be neat if it did.

Well they could be all means stick up a ghost owl there thats a giantic pain in the ass to get just for the sake of lore wise dead birds go there except that they live on not dead just unable to leave the tree. Besides could you IMAGINE the snowflake whining that their precious Olm is now an invalid as there's another non rare counterpart?

AUGH.

Hunters who do that drive me nuts.

I'll admit, I fell in love with my Olm not because he was rare, but he was factioned XD

But no, for all the whining it would produce (potentially) I wouldn't do it. I just thought from a lore stand point it would be neat.

What lore. Where is this lore. I skimmed through the thread and found no lore- obviously Aria knows but as she said the lore isn't how you claim it to be, atleast, not for how you want the rare set up.

Anyways as I said- outside of any lore. Why, why would or should blizzard move a rare to Hyjal? And also buff his level to 80. I mean that's forcing anyone who's a slow leveler to speed level and some people don't like that.

Anyways the PTR isn't even over with, and we don't know if they put in all the rares they're going to for right now, and even if they have, they obviously are NOT done shunting rares back into existance.

Hell for all we know Olm might no longer be rare but a Quest summon.

Why?

Why make a rare then put into a Summon quest?

Just why?

......see what I did there?

What's funny is this
It's also quite possible that he will become a quest mob summon in the future, perhaps along the lines of the Cenarion druids wanting you to put him to rest or the like.
is what I said. When you quote the bit about Aviana's Shrine, essentially mocking the lore you can't find--let me help ;)
Fair Aviana, the Mistress of Birds! All winged creatures of Azeroth once owed her allegiance, especially we Druids of the Talon. It's by her grace that we were granted the ability to shift forms and take to the skies.

Aviana was both beautiful and terrible, like the great birds of prey she counted among her children. She lived in the towering spirit realm of G'hanir, the Mother Tree, but appeared on Azeroth in the form of a great winged goddess.
Google ftw.

She's the demigoddess of birds, which is why her tree is surrounded by fifty or so birds flying at various heights. If you want owls, eagles and hawks of any color, you can go tame them there. I said it would be NEAT if Olm was moved there, since it wouldn't surprise me lore-wise. I didn't say he SHOULD be. And if he was, I'm sure it would be high enough up on that tree that you'd need to specifically seek him out.

As Yaone said:

He seems to be one of the few that have not made it to the PTR, despite the patch notes that state many MIA rares were making a comeback. I'm already hoping for the big answer NO, but....is it possible that he isn't coming back? :s

I'd really like Peace v2.0 for my other hunter.

I have Olm on my draenei hunter but I don't play her anymore- she's lvl 62 I think? Regardless, I really want Olm on my BE hunter main. I always loved Olm. :D

Well you know blizzard, they make some really awesome pet.. then they have to leave til the last minute to taunt us hunters.. I know they have alot to do with fixing stuff but seriously.. pop the dead bird in place please :) some of us would love to have him! And Saon is taunting me since I kept Olm on Saon cause I adore Yuri, though I may have to change the name since the name means snow.. maybe she upgraded to see through ice
