Distracting shot doesn't do damage, so that's probably not the best way.

You could always send the pet in for an autoattack. On beta (and live) that does next to no damage at all. Could bring a mage too, to polymorph-heal it.

I also exist on DeviantArt.

The polymorph idea is solid. Also, scare beast kiting can work, plus chain-trapping.

It's been bugging me, but Stormwind actually won't be as far as all that, cause unless Elwynn's undergone some MASSIVE changes, it looked like Veph was flying more toward Ironforge than Stormwind. So less distance = greater odds of success. :D

We need massive aerial shark raids on every city

imagine it...all of a sudden the city is engulfed in shadows. everyone looks up, expecting to see a dragon, but they don't see any dragon...SHARK ATTACK! thousands of sharks fly down, mass murdering everyone

I was originally going to kite him really far North but decided that would take too long, so changed course and headed for Stormwind. I'm not sure if he 'leashed' back, or if I got a bit too far ahead and lost aggro. Either way, I'll try again at some point I'm sure. x)

Try a slow flying mount that might help with the aggro loss.

Oooh! Well, am glad you DID head north, as the landscape made for far more amazing screenshots. :D *pets Gummers*

Somewhere, in the near future, Veph will one day encounter a pack of gnome clowns floating down from the sky.

Also, that shark is serious business.

I think all flying mounts scale to your highest rank in flying now (all flying mounts are 280%/310% if you have trained it).

Yeah, flying mounts and land mounts. You can ride your black stallion or emerald raptor at 100% now, and afaik you don't get a choice. (If that sounded like I was complaining, I'm sorry Blizz! I love the change, though it does complicate things in this particular case...)

If you really wanted to kite him, you'd have to fly down, dismount, and run while tossing an occasional shot back at him. You can only kite something so far without hitting it. ... though I'll admit the shark went incredibly far on a body pull! What'd you do Veph, insult his mother? ;)

A beast like that has no mother. He was born from the depths of the dark place, where fear is made manifest and becomes a physical scourge to rise into the world of light and cast its terrifying shadow across the land.

To use another comparison, if Azeroth was Halloween Town, Ol' Gummers would be Oogie Boogie.

It should still be possible to toggle the almost-never-used run/walk option though.

Well good thing that shark isn't a robot shark like the one in the maelstrom, cause if was he might be hearing a little song I know for a long, LONG time... After I blew him up that is! *Pays Saturo under the table*

Robot Sharks qualify right?
