Batlek exploded. His body vaporized, a wave of shadow energy pulsing out along with innumerable shadowbolts that aimed randomly. He'd been a strong warlock - countless casters had their magic drained into his body - and the wave was all of that power. It wasn't exactly stopping, either - beasts howled in pain as they were hit by it, the wounded simply killed off the bat. It began to peter out as it got farther and farther away.
Dalinda yelped, fading into invisibility when she heard the hum. She was not getting hit by that!

Myriana - Mulgore

Myri turned and swore as it dawned on her that Decay and Akira had succeeded in killing Batlek. The huntress dove at Thren, trying to drag him down to the ground with her, praying that they would miss the worst of the explosion. Cori was forgotten for the moment as Myri hit the ground with a thud, the explosion washing over her.

Magna - Mulgore

Magna all but threw Asli to the ground and covered her with his body when he heard the explosion.

Arbennig was caught in it, getting launched into a building. He yelped and laid on the ground.

Glix - Bloodhoof

Glix's eyes widened at the explosion, taking in a quick, startled gasp. Seeing the others hit the dirt she fell flat on her face, curling up into a ball and covering her head. She cringed as the powerful wave of shadow magic washed over her and she pulled an Ice Block up around her body to protect her from further harm.

Little Mouse and Moony - Mulgore

Little Mouse looked at the mage again, slight anger on her face. Suddenly the mage disappeared, and Little Mouse only had time to say "What-" Her eyes widened at the shadow magic hurling towards her, and dived to the ground as fast as she could, but it was a bit too late and a shadow bolt hit her. Cringing with pain, she laid on the ground, trying to protect herself from any more shadow magic.

Moony snapped at the mage, only to close his jaws on empty air. Where had she- his head snapped up as the cloud of dark purple stuff engulfed him, and with a roaring shriek was battered about with shadow energies, before Little Mouse pulled him to the ground. His breathing became shallow, and his vision was blurry.

Threnaad - Mulgore

Thren watched the confrontation with Cori, eyes widening as he saw his group attacking her.
"No!" He called out, throwing a quick heal on the priestess to keep her stable. "She doesn't need to die!" ((Nature's Swiftness and Greater Healing Wave))
He started to channel a hex spell to the blood elf, attempting to change her form into that of a frog. He was interrupted as he was pushed to the ground, grimacing as the shadowy explosion washed over him.

Umbra - Mulgore

The big cat caught the explosion in mid-run, sending her sprawling to the ground. Thankfully, the shadows didn't do as much damage to her as some of the others, thanks to her elemental infusion. Still hurt like all hell though. She lay on the ground, waiting for the explosions to dissipate.

Jraak - Mulgore

Jraak was too preoccupied to notice the shadowy cloud coming towards him, eyes staring blankly ahead. He cried out as the cloud hit him, the shadowy essence dissolving most of his feathers upon contact. He fell to the ground screeching in pain.

Zaruuk - Mulgore

Zaruuk dropped the corpse of some cultist underling to the ground, freshly drained of her life essence. He breathed in a deep breath of air, savouring the power now tingling at his fingertips. He glanced around for his next victim, only to see that most of the cult was now dead and gone. A few stragglers survived, but they were few. Bah, he'd have to find some others to test his powers upon. His green eyes flitted to look at the approaching wave of shadow and he scowled in irritation. He dropped to the ground before it swept over him, relishing the agony it brought with it.

Azunara and Kozri
Mulgore

The wave passed harmlessly over Azunara, as she watched the others drop to the ground to try and dampen the explosion. Kozri went down and didn't get back up once it was over. Azunara growled with worry.

Kozri had been ready to fire another spell when Threnaad started to cast some spell. He had halted, snarling, when the blast hit. Caught off-guard and already tired and hurt, the drake was sent unconscious. The remaining dragons (About half of them.) were still about, wreaking havoc among ranks. The bolt did take out one of the much younger dragons, but otherwise they weren't too heavily affected, just knocked down or injured some, as they were a bit farther from the leaders.

Decay - Mulgore

"Endalmelorn.", Decay said as she sunk into a crouch when the pulse of dark magic washed over her. The unnamed runeblade imbued itself with part of the energy, accepting it's name. Decay grinned, before turning towards the majority of the still living cultists. With a flash of runic magic, the dark pulse was replicated, sent off towards them. ((Dark Simulacrum.))

Indigosa, Willowe, and Rosaliah--Mulgore

Indi had finally breached her way to Batlek when he exploded. Her eyes widened in terror as she turned tail to run, exclaiming, "Holy shit!" The death knight quickly muttered an incantation, a green shield forming around her and absorbing some of the magic. She wasn't totally safe from the blast wave, however; her shell faded a moment too soon, causing her to be overwhelmed by shadowy flames, melding the back of her armor to her skin. Indi cried out in pain and shock, falling unconscious to the ground.

Willowe had just barely managed to avoid the explosion, having been prepping for it for a little bit. She began healing those closest to her, panting from exhaustion.

Rose watched Batlek explode from the safety of her tree, grimacing as she saw comrades getting caught in its fury. For the first time in her life she wished she were a healer so she could help them.

Arbennig cried out in pain and distress from the building he crashed in.

Akira waited for the right moment before she forced her own shell to appear around her. She sank down to wait it out and smirked once it was over, even if she felt a little heated.
Asli squeaked as Magna pinned her under his form and she closed her eyes.
Tyran let out a pained roar as part of the blast hit his tail and seared his scales black.

Iocha glanced back before she looked at Karzix and let out a soft curse. A totem appeared beside her to send waves of healing into the goblin as she sank to one knee. A rush of water seemed to flow over him before she began a larger healing wave. (( Healing stream totem, Riptide and greater healing wave..or whatever it is. ))

Karzix - Bloodhoof

The goblin's shallow breathing slowly strengthened with the healing. After a minute or so his brow furrowed slightly and he let out a soft groan, fighting to regain consciousness. He managed to crack his eyes open, blinking blearily. He made an attempt to move, then sank back down with a low curse as a wave of dizziness greeted him. Still appearing dazed he looked up at Iocha and Swift.
"Oh. I'm still alive? That's... huh. Kinda surprising." He paused, a troubled look falling over his face. "Eithah that we're all dead."

Magna looked at his wife, "You okay?"

Arbennig looked out the door. Why were they ganging up on the elf priest? Didn't they care that a young girl died protecting her?

He got up with great effort and limped his way towards the elf, scales turning red.

He stood over her protectively.

Cori - Mulgore

Cori shook in fear as she tried to crawl away from the massive drakeadon. Why was everything after her all of a sudden!?

Arbennig looked at her. He scratched, "Its okay! I'm here to protect you!"

Cori's eyes widened a little as she realized what Arbennig was doing. "You can write?", she asked in disbelief.

Magna - Mulgore

Arbennig scratched, "Only when needed...."

To prove he was here to help her, he used his Red Scaled form's Healing Flames on Cori.

Myriana - Mulgore

Myri hadn't been knocked unconscious, but she lay on the ground dazed and stunned for several long minutes. Finally, the draenei got to her hands and knees and painfully crawled over to Threnaad, her face full of concern for the shaman. She didn't say anything as she looked the shaman over for injuries. She used her Gift on him anyway, while digging through a pouch for a healing potion. She finally found one and drank it down, letting her eyes wander to where Arbennig was standing protectively over Cori. Well, that was one less thing to worry about, though if the elf even so much as scratched a scale on the draekedon's hide, she was dead.

They needed to know who else was injured. The huntress' let herself go a little bit, trying to survey the battle field ((Eagle Eye...I'm not sure how else to describe it)). She breathed a sigh of relief to see that Swift was ok and that Iocha was tending to Karzix, Willowe was exhausted but alive, and Asli and Magna were ok... "Crap." she exclaimed as she spotted Indi not far from where Batlek had fallen, then Kozri, both unconscious. The dead littered the whole area, allies and cultists alike and it made the huntress feel sick. It was all such a waste. Myri turned to looking for Tirrae, not finding the warpstalker anywhere, even though she searched desperately.

Myri came back to herself, feeling more tired than when she had started that spell, more worried and uncertain than before.

Glix - Bloodhoof

Glix slowly raised her head as her Ice Block dissipated. She grit her teeth and groaned as she slowly pulled herself up, her body throbbing with pain after the powerful wave of shadow magic. She sat back, blowing her disheveled hair out of her face as she dazedly looked around. She winced at the sight of so many dead, glancing around to see what she could. She spotted a few of the others, to her relief. With a brief shock of panic she wondered where Karzix was before pushing the thought away, telling herself that he'd be fine. The mage made a move to get up, then fell back with a grimace. Okay, just a few more moments of resting...

Azunara was about ready to howl with frustration. What was with the mercy for this priest? She flicked her glance from Saturo, to Cori, and deciding that the gnome could drag her back if need be. She darted over towards Arbennig and Cori, shouting at Arbennig, "What are you doing? She should be dead! She deserves to be dead!" She whirled on the elf, snarling, "If it hadn't been for you, I wouldn't have been Batlek's slave. I wouldn't have been so hurt. I could've saved Tirrae!"
