That little scorpid up on the ledge of the Furnace has been charming several of the guild hunters who have been passing through in the past day or so. This meant he just had to have a name, so Taizak, Cookie, and I settled on Dante.

(Just picture him skittering around in circles, hugging the three of us and our pets in turn as I write this. I kid you not. His positioning and timing is impeccable.)

Dante is a bit of a hermit. He chooses to be up here alone, but he gladly takes hunters who are seeking to tame the elusive rare spiders under his claw. Dante is very affectionate to those he takes into his trust. He is also a mentor, companion, and guide during those long camps: the P.Dawg of the Firelands!

Dante also protects those who follow his teachings from random D/Cs. It's true!

It is indeed true! As mentioned in other threads, Firelands has been d/cing people all day and night. While we were discussing Dante in gchat, Parkour got d/ced for a lengthy period of time, while we weren't touched at all. Dante approves!

(This is not a slight on Parkour; he was simply out of Dante's range to be protected. )

Hee, yes, the spirit of Chitter is very much present here. Chitter was more of a little lost soul post-Cataclysm, but the spirit of Petopia flows through him as much as it does Dante. (Chatter's his big brother who's been around since vanilla, btw. <3 both - that's Chatter in my sig, but Chitter's my baby as well: with Veph, of course!)

*gets all mushy over Chitter really being in game again and trails off*

Ahh, so Chitter the lost one and Dante the hermit mentor i like it! Your gonna make me want to tame Dante instead of black madexx if i keep going back to this thread enough to look at the screenies of green madexx's getting tutored

Thankfully, thanks to all the love and support, Chitter is no longer lost, but found! He has an identity and a family (who lives across the zone from him, but that's close enough).

Dante really has so much personality. And we've really only just met him!

Don't worry about it; I still can't believe he's really real sometimes myself. And I'm one of his mothers. xD

Sure thing! He's right where the arrow on this map is. Can't miss him, especially before questing in the zone, since he's the only mob there.
