I dunno.

When bronze Madexx had a common, people hated him.

When Black Madexx had a common, everyone freaked out when they noted one scorpion was all alone, gave it a name, and now everyone has to have him.*

Funny, if you think about it.

*No intent to offend or call anyone out or say people are stupid or wrong, I'm just saying it's funny how with two different cases, one is shunned, the other is revered.

Dante became who he was because he happened to be the only living thing on that sad piece of rock when we sat out there for days waiting for rares on the PTR. It wasn't his color, but his location and the people around him who made him special.

And there are some very, very passionate brown Madexx fans here.

Still, I never thought it was fair or made sense to hate brown Madexx.

Oh, definitely not. I don't think any rare with a common counterpart deserves any hate, but I've noticed that people stop caring after a while anyway. Huge fuss over Pitch, and now people don't care that Humar has a twin. Madexx used to cause all out fights, probably due to his random color choices(I think this is where a lot of the 'hate' stemmed from - it wasn't just that he was common, it was that he was common and the skin they didn't want) and now people are starting to appreciate the color - or, as with Humar, they just don't care. These things heal over time, but he'll always be a special scorpid to me if only because he succeeds in trolling every single hunter out there. 'Oh you want green/blue/red/black? Problem?'

I have a different problem. I hate BLACK Madexx. I've never hated bronze (I don't call him 'brown', seems too plain for such a pretty little creature) Madexx. I always thought the gold eyes and green tail/pincers were really unique.

Heh, brown Madexx avoided me when I wanted him and I ended up with black Madexx, the color that now seems to be even more out of favor! It's all very circular.

There's a lot of yellow in the brown model. It's got a lot of life to it.

I think, at first, you see all five colours and the "brown" one... just doesn't look as shiny or interesting. And then you actually see it in game, or stop to consider the colour, and you see all the flecks and notice he's more "bronze" than "brown" and he's actually a really really pretty shade.

Well, at least, that's how I noticed it. xD I can't stand black though, sadly. It popped so many times on my Madexx hunts... erg.

I may choose to do that if I don't get lucky (I am only level 41 so I still have a long way to go), but in this case I really would prefer Madexx himself. For some reason, I form special bonds with particular mobs (even out in the wild), and Madexx happens to be one of them. I really, really like him, and not even necessarily a particular color. I just really like the mob in general. It's hard to explain, I guess.

I think that color Madexx doesn't get as much love as he should. He goes very well with the Horde guild mount.

Honestly...if I hadn't found my blue madexx, and found a bronzie (that's what I call him) or black madexx, I would have snatched them up in a instant. I am often looking at my stables and wondering, "Why the hell do I have so many rares?". Try to bond with ol' Bronzie, and you two might get a strong bond ^.^

I like bronze better than red. I just last night abandoned red to free up a stable slot. He's just...meh....to me. Red, besides black, is the most drab color in my opinion. I liked his purple eyes, but thats about it. Even the normally colorful tail and pincers just...weren't...on red.

I don't like black/red(let a red go last night) Green(will let go when I get blue) makes me meh...I want blue. I had a bronze but let it go because I don't want 984759837545 scorpions. xD
