Loque'nahak

Unread post by Shadezar »

Hello all!

Ok, so I've been looking for Loque'nahak since Wrath went live. That's like four years, right?

I've never been one to camp for a pet, well, I sorta did when I was lookng for Skoll but I didn't camp hardcore as some have. Anyway, my usual practice in looking for Loque was to log in and head for Sholazar Basin. Once I arrived I would make the trip around the area to all the reported spawn points. In four years I have seen the untamed Loque twice. The first time was when a Horder hunter was going for the tame. The second time was last night...

I logged in to WoW last night and was already in Sholazar Basin, as I had logged out there the night before. Ok, here we go, another night of searching for Loque only to end the search empty handed...again. As I zoned in I was looking north, right towards the spot where I had last seen Loque when the other hunter was taming him. I stared at the spot, I guess I was trying to "will" Loque to spawn.

"Ah well", I thought. "Let's get the disappointment over with". I turned to my right and said, "Oh, hi Loque, I'll see you in a bit, I have to go look for you...be right back..."

HOLY CRAP!!! There he was in his spirit beasty goodness...and all alone too. No one was there to challenge my tame. I dropped a freezing trap and began the tame. Loque'nahak is now a member of my family. :headbang:

After about four years of hunting and hoping I finally have my Loque. I named him "Nim". According to arwen-undomiel.com it means "white" in Elvish.

Now what do I do? My epic search has finally come to an end. I kinda have that empty feeling...lol

Grats on your tame! As far as what to do now? Take your hard earned pet on dailies, do some pvp, do some dungeons, take some awesome screenshots. Just enjoy him. The desire for a particular pet, the searching and/or camping, and finally the tame is only part of the journey. There's lots more to do and discover now that your coveted beast is finally in your stable. Love the name too! :)

Thanks everbody!

Sesamee, I've been doing exactly what you suggested. I've been running around doing dailies with Loque. I can't bring myself to PvP though, yeesh! lol

I'll try to get some screen shots but I'm not the best at posting them.

The Burning Crusade was released on January 16, 2007 (5 years ago)
Wrath of the Lich King was released on November 13, 2008. 4 years ago is correct.
Cataclysm was released on October 12, 2010. (2 years ago)

Ah technically....4 years isnt correct still. It would have to be November 13th, 2012 for it to be 4 years ago. :P (I was still wrong. It's actually 3 years and 4 months ago but just putting that out there.)

and Cataclysm was not released on October. It was released December 7th, 2010. Which is a year and 3 months ago. Hasn't quite been two years for that one. October I think was when the beta was released. (Froze my hiney off standing in line 3 hours before released. Had the Special Edition reserved)

Still looking back on Wrath...it doesnt feel like 3 years......only feels like 1 or 2 years.

Ah gotcha. Yeah nonspecific wise, 4 years would be close enough. :) Still...does it really feel like its been that long?
