I think they are Rated BG reward mounts.

Well good news and bad news.. Good news first, The scope that launches a rabid critter.. its real and ingame and its pattern is bought with marks from The armorer (unlockable vendor), The bad news I can't go any further on shadow wardens due to the first daily being unable to complete....

Edit: I see, if it's structured the same as the druids of the talon, then no luck. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

there are two beasts that sharet he model with the hell hounds, although i havent seen either on the ptr and dont know if they might be part of the new firelands raid or perhaps related to the daily quests.

The 2 fire dogs are from a raid boss encounter and they are level 88.

looks like a new quest was added with this previous update to the PTR, I tried to go do the quest but I was unable to do anything where the npc was located at.

For those wanting to know what the new companion pets do:
Whelp = Unknown have yet to see it.
Nuts = Throws acorns at your head giving you the dazed look.
Kaliri = Nothing yet.
Dragon = Goes crazy zooming up and down, Leaves trails
Bear = Randomly sits down
Lasher = Randomly throws fireballs.

Updated with all 8 new rares and the tricks needed to tame them. Your Going to have to check the original threads for pics as I am hitting the character limit again.

No new fire turtle pets have been added in 4.2 as far as I know. If they do get added I will make sure to put them on the list.

Yep, not seen any other fire turtles.
All magma giants, including those in Molten Core (thanks, Parkour!), are a brand new model. Said model is also used in Firelands and on the giants around Terrorpene's area. They are loud and stompy. >_<

Cooking: Kibler's Bits now makes your pet bigger for 5 minutes.
Still kinda wish the glyph had stayed ingame but, oh well. Will be a fun RP snack. :3
