skarr tame story- very lucky

i was on one side of where skarr spawns then i use eagle eye to see th the other side and boom i see him. i get there asap and throw a frost trap and begin taming. Then my laptop freezes from the crashes and im like so mad but then when i log in i see skarr next to my character. Well thats the story of how lucky i was( as of right now u dont need to be on the rock to tame) Good luck fellow hunters and happy hunting
