I've been on the PtR (Nob) for about a week and a half now. Since I gained access to the Molten Front I have forsaken the dailies for the infamous Hunt I am hoping to get in some Deth'tilac practice, but the little blighter won't spawn. In the past three days I've seen a Solix per day and 1 Anthriss. I also missed a Karkin and nabbed myself Skarr. Does anyone with more PtR experience know the relative spawn of the spiders? Do they share one (AKA has any1 seen more than 1 up at a time?)? Do Karkin and Skarr share times with them or just each other? Any clues?


Edit: Found her just now at 12:21 serv time on Nob. She was a very easy tame in Survival with entrapment. It procced quite a bit. Didn't aggro anything and no evade bug I'm ecstatic to have this practiced for live! First try, too.

The usual spawn timers 6-17 hours I think. But on Nob there are really only alot of hunters who are there, very few other classes so rares do get found and tamed. They do not share a spawn timer. Skarr and Karkin only share a spawn timer with each other.

Have you happened to see 2 up at once? Or anyone for that matter that can confirm the timer thing?

We've definitely seen pairs of spiders up at the same time before - various combinations of them, too.

Any with Deth?

Deth's been up at the same time as other spiders too, yep.

I just want to tell you i got deth on wensday, he doesnt share spawn with other spiders i got skitterflame just after. he spawns 12-14 hours which is an average time

How hard was the tame?, thats the one I am so in love with and must have.

Deth is pretty tricky, her its mostly all pure kiting, taking the time to clear the trash around the area and being quick to cast revive pet. Solo kiting will usually take around 8-10 mins to get her to the right amount, 6-7 if you are really excellent at kiting. Deth is all about keeping her slowed and having enough space between you and her so you can cast revive pet. So basically you need to keep her slowed and away from you for 9.47seconds, which doesnt seem alot until its your only hope for preventing an instant kill

As Kalli said above. Things have come up in pairs but I'd think that the spawn time with me was 12-24 hours, on Ana he has a tendecy to spawn at insane hours.... My tame took abot 3 minutes because I had two guildies helping with the tame. I think that it would take about 10-15 minutes soloing it. But maybe a few hunters would come around and help ya. ;D also gratz on tame
