Re: Patch 4.3 World Event Pets No Longer Bound
Oh my, I should have known about that earlier so I could bribe someone into buying a feline familiar for me and then I could pay them back o.O Stupid internet's been gone for a month, and they don't work hard enough to make it work. Fly to the other side of the country, pick up the parts, fly back and come and install. Should take two days, not 30.
Re: Patch 4.3 World Event Pets No Longer Bound
I wasn't aware that the Winter Veil ones were bound. They definitely didn't used to be. This is an interesting change though. Most of those pets are no longer rare in general, so this would allow those few who are extremely unlucky (or just too lazy to grind) to get them

I've been saving squashlings in the hopes this would happen.

First I was a bit miffed at this statement coming late as I had about a dozen sinister squashlings in my bag that I deleted cause I had no room. But if they're making the pets boa, then I guess it's no loss.

I think the Winter Veil pets are just a tooltip correction, as they are already BoE. The MMO post is, frankly, confusing.Wain wrote:I wasn't aware that the Winter Veil ones were bound. They definitely didn't used to be.
As for the rest, I got excited when I read the thread title, only to realize they meant only the token vendor pets, not the boss drops. Yes, I'm looking at you, Frigid Frostling.
This will make it easier to get holiday pets for alts. And I know I still have a bunch of Squashlings from this year that I haven't gotten around to deleting yet!

DAMMIT! I should have kept all of those Sinister Squashlings!!
Though, I suppose there's a very good chance that everyone else and their ostrich was raided by the little squashlings as well.
As for the Winter Veil pets... that's very interesting. O.o So what... we can use them but also pass them on or sell them? Come Blizzard, specify!

I'm going to say this.
IM STILL HAPPY I DESTROYED THOSE 20 OR SO SQUASHLINGS! /end billy mays
I hate that pet and I hate that helm. And I hated typing in the words DELETE everytime I got another duplicate.

Yay-I have a ton of those Sinister Squashlings, I'll finally be able to do something with them other then just throwing them away. Wish I had known sooner though, I've already trashed a good dozen of them this year.

Re: Patch 4.3 World Event Pets No Longer Bound
I would never have been able to keep all the squashlings I got this year. Bag space is at a premium for me until Void Storage comes out. But I might've saved one for my shaman. Pretty much every other character I has The Hallowed achievement, including my level 48 warlock (from back when you could walk into SM graveyard and fight the horseman if you had some level 80 friends to kill him for you...).
I would've picked up an extra feline familiar though to send to my hunter. I had an extra 200 something tricky treats and didn't really feel like getting the wickerman. Ah well, such is life.
At least this gives me a plan B for Valentine's Day and Midsummer Pets. After getting super lucky with the Scorchling the very first year of Midsummer, the holiday bosses have been rather dry for me in the mini pet area (Squashling excluded, of course).

Re: Patch 4.3 World Event Pets No Longer Bound
ugh, I kept all my Squashlings.. and this despite HAVING one on every.. single... one.. of my toons! We're talking 30 toons across 3 accounts. Yes, they ALL got the Squashling/Helm achievement. Regardless of level.
A bit of palindromic wisdom:
"Step on no pets!"
Casual player.. don't raid, don't PvP. Suffer from extreme altitis
I love pets - combat or non.

Was FURIOUS to not see that on the list. Make the bags BoA, or make the pets BoE/BoA. I'd actually queue up on all my toons (2 of which can heal, and 2 of which can tank, making someone's queues shorter!) were that the case.GormanGhaste wrote:Wain wrote:As for the rest, I got excited when I read the thread title, only to realize they meant only the token vendor pets, not the boss drops. ^^^^this in a HUGE way. i have the frostling on a barely played alt, and the wasteling on a different barely played alt. if those were items that you could still roll on, i would GLADLY have passed them to someone's main. grumble grumble.Monica Gems wrote:Was FURIOUS to not see that on the list. Re: Patch 4.3 World Event token vendor Pets No Longer Bound
So I am wondering if this means the toons that already have one will be mailed the item so my other toons can have too, or if I am going to have to wait until the holiday rolls around again to buy it yet again to be able to send it to all my toons.
Thanks to Kurenio for the texted ruin of lordaeron sig!
