PTR: 'Release' Build!

Looks like within the next couple weeks or so, we'll be getting our next patch. Transmog will soon be going live! Which means.... well.... no new rares, no new beasts (aside from what's in the dungeons), no hydras being tameable.

.... but so, so much more! <3

Right now I'm much more excited about transmog than new pets. Back in vanilla / TBC / even wotlk I never thought I'd say that, but honestly Noah has been extremely good to us and I for one am now feeling a bit glutted on pets...

We're lucky we've gotten as much attention from him and other devs (mostly him!) as we have. 4.2 was pretty amazing with the challenge tames and 10(!) rares just (well, primarily) for hunters. He's earned the downtime for 4.3.

And we did still get two new kitty skins, which is something. Dungeon or not, they count.

Kinda glad for no more new pets this patch.. I don't know what I would delete from my stable if one did show up.

Wow, I wasn't expecting them to actually release it like this, and that they were building up to new pets. Not even one spirit beast or adding hydras, I am disappointed. And that means we probably won't get any new pets for about a year leading up to MoP ...

I mean, sure I would have been ecstatic to get a new species or model, but in my mind we've already had our fill. We got a lot throughout this expansion, and I don't really see a need to have something for one specific class (and sometimes even one specific spec within that class) each patch. We ended on a high note, and with this wrapping up the end of Cataclysm I don't think it's unreasonable not to see something. I'm sure we'll be getting spoiled in MoP. ^^

If there's nothing for us, well that's too bad, but it doesn't phase me. I can be patient. (or try to be )

As an unrelated FYI: they fixed the turtle-tossing quest as well. Apparently I was right: it *was* a bug. Because there's no way I would've missed with 10 tokens (x10 rings), only to get it within 8 rings in the next attempt.

Ugh, wish that bug didn't pop up. If it didn't it looks like we could have gotten enough tickets for one of the mounts. I dunno maybe we still can... I'm at 100-something.... 150 maybe? *cant remember numbers easily*

Nah, I'm sure they're doing testing on this last build still, just in case.

Besides, as someone else already pointed out, they have to time the patch with SWTOR to compete.

Besides, as someone else already pointed out, they have to time the patch with SWTOR to compete.

The top-tier raiders were already planning which week they were going to be working on heroics, so the delay will be annoying to them.

I have to admit, if SWTOR had a Mac client, I'd give it a go, but they have no plans for a Mac client, so I bought in another year with Blizz.

But the pvpers were incensed that they weren't given time to finish there ratings. Guess ya can't blame them.

Thinking about it, now that my guild as killed Rags a few times, we can rest a bit. I also won't feel compelled to spend the Thanksgiving holiday doing LFR to learn the new fights.
