Azeroth's second moon, the Blue Child, which has been gone since Burning Crusade has finally returned in Mists of Pandaria.

Eh the blue 2nd moon reminds of the green 2nd moon from Warhammer fantasy. XD but cool anyway.

The Earthmother sent the Blue Child away to learn about the universe upon noticing the coming of the Burning Legion, explaining its disappearance prior to the Burning Crusade expansion. It will be a very long time before it returns.

Lore wise, it has been...close to ten years, I think? (WoW Timeline wise, not real time)

Assuming it went missing deliberately, as a plot point, and isn't just a glitch they finally fixed, I wonder what the religious significance of its return is going to be.

I'm hoping it ties into the fan theory that Elune is a Naaru. Maybe the Blue Child was a "younger" Naaru that was sent to explore for possible future destinations for the Draenei.

Well it would have something to do with the Earthmother as she's the one who sent it away in the first place.
