not sure if these could even possibly be beasts but there yet another new yeti/wendigo variation coming in mists. Id really love a spirit version of it to be a gorilla spirit beast but they might be humanoids.

Those are bound to be humanoids.

They seem to be undecided on that style of yeti. It's basically a new model variant on the beastly (knuckle walking) yeti style from the old world. A number of those have remained beasts in the game (like Bigfist), but I think all the original (upright) yeti are all classed as humanoids now.

Since they're both "yeti" I suspect we wouldn't see them tameable even if they remain beasts. They could remain beasts and be treated like boss fire spiders, etc. I'm not sure :) I'll try to bring it up with Noah when he's not already deluged with stuff ;)

It could be like how some protodrakes where classed as beasts for along time. Long enough for people on this site to think they where beasts

that sounds good wain. be sure to let noah know that since they share skeletons with gorillas that that could be a good family for them if they become tameable beasts. Honestly gorillas do need more skins.....also ask noah if blizzard plans to give us the cyborg gorillas because that skin would be really cool to tame.

also now that cranes and other beasts seem to have families i wonder if we will be seeing tameable forms of the crane god and tiger god skins.

Damn it! How did I miss the basilisk images here before I took my own for the site? Although amusingly our Outland basilisks are almost the same. There just aren't many poses for those guys.

On the other hand, I cheated and only used one crest color for the blue/jade crested versions. So once again Wain has surpassed me. :)

i really do miss the pose variation on petopia mania. now every new thing is more uniform and less special. really think you should start doing the dynamic poses for each skin. but thats just my two cents.

are the gyreworms in pandaria still classed as beasts? if they still are then i can still dream of a gyreworm pet!(if gyreworms become tameable id hope blizzard would put the unused purple ones in game as well)

That's all my fault. For my lists, where I'm documenting things by colour/appearance, I tend to make the beast strike a pose (damn, now I'm going to have Madonna in my head all day), and just cycle through the colours and take a new screenshot. Mania's been using them since they're already available.

They also do show the differences in colour variation that way, even if the page looks a bit more boring and uniform.

I personally like when the different beasts skins are making the same pose, it helps me compare them better. Sometimes, their eyes might be shut on one and not the other, etc. But that's just my personal preference. :)

They are on Windless Isle, the largest island off the east coast of Jade Forest.

Here's the change from the plain stone lion in the (whatever the name is) palace in MoP bet: Notice the sleekness added, but the pug type face kept. Body style has reverted back to standard cat shape/animation. But a nice addition are the great tattoos added on both front legs and head area, as well as the colors, very cool.

Now that I'm reasonably sure this isn't some sort of terrible joke, I added the silkworms to the list. ;)

I noticed those! I wonder why the hell they put "Malayan" in their names. It'd be like if they put in "Galapagos Island Tortoises" or had "North American Bison" wandering Mulgore. ;)
I'm so excited about this as Malaya was the name of my country prior independence. The pet is probably based loosely on Malayan Porcupine XD
