It's never too early to plan ahead (MoP stable thread)

It's not the massive expansion of Cataclysm stables, but undoubtedly, quite a few stables will be shaken up, due to buff changes and the fact that families can be any tree now.

If you need the grid of 25, Veph's template is here.

Here are my current revamped stables:

And for those interested, I have related blog posts for both Kalliope and Kallimon. :D

Updated for Hippomenes's new look. :)

Alright, so I almost have my stables planned out. The floating crane at the bottom I still have to find room for, but that extra pet doesn't necessarily represent the crane, it could be any of the new MoP pets. I'm not yet sure which ones I'll bond with definitely, so I might not need to find room if one of the new ones doesn't work.

Still, if I want all of the new pets I have planned so far, I'll have to find a spot somewhere, and most likely might be one of my wind serpents, as much as I love both. I just...don't need two. I'll have to wait and see I guess, but I feel pretty good about what I've been able to do so far.

I need to see the new buff layout first... then I'll do some planning.

But a boar or rhino will make it into my main rotation, and a tanking spirit beast. I'll certainly have a Quilin as well, but need to know about the crit buff and what happens to the cat and spirit beast buffs.

I will ad more for my other characters when I'm not lazy.

It's definitely not complete, I still do not know who I want to release for my waster strider, and I also do not know which water strider I'm going to get. I have named for everything except my turtle (deciding between two names), Quilen, and water strder.
So yeah, this will surely change. XD

Image

As for my alts, no idea. I know that Arms the water strider will go to SOMEONE, but I don't know who yet.

Tårnfalk is the only one of my hunteresses who i currently have a somewhat idea of how the stable will look.

Nyah will be changed to the yellow spiked wind serpent if that becomes tameable.. I have wanted a pip for soooo long :D And some of the pets in the stable might be released later on.. HAve no real connection with Krush, the golden worm or the cute seagul but for now this is the planned stable :D

Ooh, this I'll have to do as soon as I have a bit more information to go by - I try not to get attached to things only to find they won't be tameable (Gesharahan, I'm looking at you!) I also want to know which of my pets I can downgrade into minipets before going ahead and filling up their spot in the stables. (Although to be quite honest, I don't think I'll have any shortage of space in my main's stable.. She can be extremely picky.)

I'm planning to wait until the abilities on *all* pets are fully solidified before I make any decisions. I do tame for looks, but I also have to keep the abilities available. So I need to wait and see what goes on! ... although I do know that a water bug is going to be stuffed in there somewhere, and likely a Quilin as a permanent member of my 'Dungeon Five'.

This is where I am currently. I have already purged 2 extra cats and 5 spirit beasts along with a few other pets that I just didn't feel a connection with from my stable the other day. I now have 7 slots to play with. I know for sure I will be taming the bottom three, so that leaves me with 4 slots for anyone else I might bond with. I may end up re-coloring some of my other pets or transforming them into mini pets as well.

I think I am the most excited about the strider pet. When I was in the BC beta I fell in love the first time I saw that model and was crushed when I found out I could not tame it. I have been waiting for over 5 years to bring him home <3

What I'm currently hoping my stables will look like.. There's still a couple I'm not sure if I want to retame or keep.

As I've said before, Nanyana is extremely picky about what she bonds with, which very much explains all the empty slots.

These are the "For Sure" pets. The rest of the spots will most likely go to the pets in the next image.

Image

The pets below are the ones who will most likely nab one of the free spots. They're either current pets I won't be able to release, new tameables we don't know about yet, temporarily released pets (until I can change their spec in MoP) or MoP pets I'm still deciding on. I could practically fill up a whole stable with them, lol. Decisions are hard!!

I'm waiting for when all pet abilities are finalized. For now, only new pet I know that I want for sure is the green crane who is unnamed at this time.

First four rows are keepers. Last row I'm deciding between cats, unsure if I want to keep my silithid, and only really taming a quilin and water strider for their abilities, so haven't truly decided on skin/names yet.

No clue for Ptaysanwee's stable. For now just morphing Cocheta the black ravager to Cocheta the black water strider.[/color]

Can I just confess to enjoying sitting back in these threads and getting a feel for the general color of everyone's stables? :D

I love these kinds of threads too. I get a voyeuristic thrill from seeing everyone's stables! And names, I'm big into names and seeing who named which pet what. :D

ETA: Not to throw a monkey wrench into anyone's stable plans but we don't yet know about any unique skinned rares. If some are introduced I'm sure I will want to tame them and at least see if a bond forms or not. I don't see why there wouldn't be any. At least one or two.

I noticed the color patterns too! I hadn't even realized my stable had a similar hue pattern going on until I made my grid. Then again, my favorite colors have always been purple and/or bluish green shades combined with black.

This is probably what I'll end up with…

Rassaa
Image
Row One: Tinder, Erik, Christine, Lackjaw, Zant.
Row Two: Torn, Rattlebone, Ike, Cinder, turtle. May replace Rattle with the turtle. In fact, almost certainly will, assuming I can tame that turtle.
Row Three: All unnamed.

Daphine
Image
Row One: TARDIS, tiger, moth, Shiver, Mycroft.
Row Two: Snake, Devilsaur, John, crane, porcupine.
Row Three: Bob, rest unnamed.

Vallrok
Image
(I still like his stable the best.)
Row One: Faron, Seamist, Sorrow.

The quilen may end up depending on if they go back to using the worg skeleton or not. AKA, if they stay with cat, they're not in my stable.
