Also, for the love of God stop 'bumping' the hydra threads. Constructive posts, or talking about hydras, yes. Bumping is against the forum rules and you'll just get the thread ignored or locked. I've tried to say it on the beta forums nicely: just don't do it.

Duplicate threads get the same treatment. Pick one of the hydra threads and use it.

Oh, you have all my support. I'm just saying the better our 'pretty please hydras' thread follows the rules, the less likely it'll make the devs want to punt us.

still have my hopes up, cause' currently none of the 'new' mop families really look very interesting at all to me.

The only thing that bugs me is the current Hydra 5% crit buff they have, I mean what is that like 5 pets with it? Not saying its bad to have the 5% crit buff but I really wish they would spread the buffs out more.

I feel the same way.

The beasts introduced so far have been great in their own right and I am happy for anyone who is excited to tame one but I'm not all that interested. I'm holding onto the hope that Hydras will be one of the later additions before the MoP launch. I also have some personal preferences reserved for Hippogryphs, Gryphons, Wyverns, Arcane/Mana Wyrms along with brand new species such as Frogs/Toads, and Dragonflies.

Once (and if) these beasts become tamable, anything else beyond that is just an extra treat.

I'm not sure I want to see a frog big enough to be a hunter pet. Nightmares, I would have them.

Edit: More on-topic, I saw the rare hydra outside of Wailing Caverns...if those become tamable, I'm pretty sure Ziarre's going to be camping that one. It was gorgeous.

I really really really want a hydra. My gamecard is currently expired (again) and I'm not really feeling like buying another, I'm pretty much waiting for MOP to make me excited about Wow. Hydras would be the best pet in my opinion, although I'm interested in pretty tigers, fen striders and such. I'm still bitter that I missed the ghost hydra.

I envision them to stand somewhere between boars and dogs in height (medium size but not huge) if they made it into the game. Low to the ground in stature but able to leap into the air for movement.

Originally, I had the size of beetles or turtles in mind but I felt a frog or toad of THAT bulk and size would be way too big.

D: Now I'll really have nightmares.
