Pets you want to see next.
Hello, I'm new to the forums but have been using petopia for a long time.
Anyways, I would like to see what other people think should be the next pets Blizzard adds in. It can be something already in the game (Like Hydras), or it can be something completely new. Personally, I would like to see Monitor Lizards in the game for a number of reasons. Some of the reasons are:
1. Monitor Lizards can be very dangerous like Crocodile Monitor, Komodo Dragons, Lace Monitors, and other large species.
2. Monitor Lizards can also be very tame animals (If you read the Pet Lore for the companion Legs, it says the Fen Striders are very dangerous but can be very tame, made me think of Monitors when I first read it), one very tame Monitor species is the Asian Water Monitor, which can act almost like a dog.
3. Many Monitors come from Asia, such as the Crocodile Monitor, Komodo Dragon, Varanus Bitatawa (A fruit-eating monitor, one of 3) and many, many more.
4. They with have quite a few weapons and defenses to attack/defend themselves: Tough skin, a whip-like tail, sharp teeth, talon-like claws, they can run at high speeds, and unlike other lizards can breath while running, and some such as the Lace Monitor, Komodo Dragon, Perentie, and Timor Monitor have a venomous bite.
So, now that you've read the shopping list, I want to hear what everybody else wants, happy hunting!

Oooh!
From the top of my head, in no particular order. But I'll say that Mantids are at the top of my want-list:
Sand Reavers
Mantid Tanks/Kunchongs
Horseshoe Crabs (Yes.)
Diemetradons and other dino pets. Just because.
Aaand:
Jumping Spiders/Salticidae. Why? Because who can resist this:
Say, can you? Can you now?
Sadly, I don't see a model dedicated to jumping spiders ever being implemented though.
It would be a cool pet for a leap ability though.

Essentially all of the dinosaurs found in Ungoro need to be made tameable, and I would really like to see the Azerothian equivalent of a Triceratops added in.
Wolverines would also be really cool.

I can say no to that quite easily. One word: Arachnophobia.Qraljar wrote: Jumping Spiders/Salticidae. Why? Because who can resist this:

Hydras
Stags/Talbuks
Mushan Beasts
Jumping Spiders! (or really...any new spider model...I'll even settle for some new tarantula skins since they haven't had any attention since Vanilla)
That's pretty much my bucket list.

I'd like those skeletal wind serpents in Tanaris to be tameable. That'd be cool.
Also: wind serpent minipets. You know you want 'em.

Re: Pets you want to see next.
Out of the ones currently beasts but not tameable yet: hydras, kunchongs (the mantid tanks appear to be called that), gryphons, wyverns, horses (if wolves can be both mounts and pets, why not horses), clefthooves (as rhinos), thunder lizard family (kodos, thunder lizards, stegodons and mushans) and more dinos - pterrodactes, diemetradons, etc.
Out of things not in WoW, actual qilins (quilen are cool and all, but an actual qilin would be great), owlbears, umber hulks, behirs and LANDSHARKS.

Thanks, I could see them going in tons of other zones like The Barrens, Ungoro, Stranglethorn, and much more. Would also like to see Mushan Beast and Mantid Tanks become families, would make a lot of hunters very happy.TygerDarkstorm wrote: OT: Love the monitor lizard idea. <3

Snakes. The snakey kind like in Tanaris and MoP. Never been a fan of the upright spikey ones. Also monitor lizards.
Sig by Sookie!
Re: Pets you want to see next.
Yaks and Mushan are the two I desperately want tameable. I wouldn't mind stags although after getting a closer look at them they're eyes are kind of creepy. It's not so noticeable on the black stags but it turned me off enough on the others.

The eerie, sinister eyes on the black stags are the exact reason why I love them so much. <3Sesamee wrote:I wouldn't mind stags although after getting a closer look at them they're eyes are kind of creepy. It's not so noticeable on the black stags but it turned me off enough on the others.
Re: Pets you want to see next.
On the non-black stags they're eyes look a little too bugged for me. I do like the sinister look of the black stags. I have a picture of Dulcinea and I next to one I'll have to try and find.

I would also like to see the Sea Turtles from Vashj'ir, Thousand Needles, and Krasarang Wilds tamable. Always wanted one as a pet.
They again, Monitor Lizards are still on top.

Such a Jaw dropping idea Crotalus, I personally want tamable Hydras. I've always liked the idea of having a huge three headed beast attacking my enemies.
