Quilen's new animations.

Just noticed that Quilen now have new animations including fighting animations and a sit animation. There is also an updated flight animation that looks hilarious. It seems that they have once again messed with the run animaton. Now instead of keeping its head up when it runs, it lowers it towards the ground. The weird face deform when it turned it head has been fixed as well. I am not quite sure how I like the run but I will just have to wait to see them ingame.

They've also been given the cat attack animations.

Because biting with their claws is totally legit.

Their ReadyUnarmed animation is pretty nice, and they got their teeny teeth back!


They fixed the walking to where the front paws don't flop around, and it generally looks better from the front. Their front legs flex a lot, though.



The run... needs some work. especially in the shoulders. <_<



And um... I don't want to show the sit. It's that bad!

Overall though, I'm liking where they're going. Just bothering me that they gave them cat attacks because... last I checked they used bite. <.< Maybe that was changed.

It looks like it has a limp in the walk animation. Notice the front leg that's closest to us here. There's a slight pause where the paw hits the ground and it just gives me this impression that it's in pain or trying not to put too much weight on it.

Their two flight animations are quite interesting. Especially the first one where it bounds along a little like Pepe le Pew

In the second one it just kinda surfs the air. Or... ok, now I cannot unsee something else in this animation.

Me tinkering with the colours But the new animations are because there's a flying mount version in the works. It's looking like it won't have wings.

"Is it me is is that Quilen Puppy being a bad Fu dog and dry humping the air?"

I wonder if there is going to be any other effects attached to them, like "Sparkles" to explain the reason for their "floatiness"?

I'd say the first animation is the typical flight animation and the second will be the glide. I can only imagine that is the CE mount skin. o_o

I think the 'glide' animation is just a left-over animation copied from other models. If the flying Quilen isn't going to have wings, they won't use it.

Of course, they've gone through so many models/animations for the Quilen, who knows if either of those flight animations will end up being used

You could be right on the glide thing It's still funny to see in isolation as it humps the air

The skin isn't the CE mount, though. That's just one of mine I used for fun... solid gold

I just wish they didn't look like they were balding But the new animations are neat.

The idle/walking/running animations are the same ones used on the cat mounts. And the flying animations are the same ones used on the Winged Guardian, look closely. The first is it's flapping it's wings and the second is when it's gliding. I do hope that whatever it ends up looking like for the CE, it'll have wings. It looks so, so wrong without wings. ... Damn these creatures are ugly! o.O I don't care much for one as a pet, luckily, I'm just hoping the mount(s) is/are nice...

Okay, I love the hopping quilen. T_T I admit it! The second animation not so much.

I can just picture our pets hopping after us like that; it makes me giggle, okay?
