Re: New Wolf Skin.
I have Skoll, mine's name is Hegg. I love him, he's the only Spirit Beast I've ever managed to bond with fully and keep. This new mob does nothing to change that or my view of Skoll, especially considering how much more vivid and vibrant blue the real Skoll is.
I think it would have been cooler if they had gone with a different colour rather than just a desaturated blue, not because I have a problem with it being the same colour scheme, I just think that it's a bit of a boring recolour. These recolours of Skoll have existed in the WoW files since WotLK though I believe, so Blizz is just deciding to use them. Might as well, I've been wondering when they were going to show up. As I said before, I couldn't care less about this whole thing myself. I know people are going to disagree, but *shrug*.

Re: New Wolf Skin.
Those 'plenty' can go ahead and be thrilled. It won't magically make me thrilled too. I'm satisfied enough in that there's a very visible difference in color, at least, I just wish it was a Spirit Beast. It'd give the folks clamoring for a common option something to pick up--I'm not one of them, but a regular wolf shooting lightning sits ill with me.
In the end, however, Blizz will do as they do. They're at least using a different color, so my objections are limited.

Re: New Wolf Skin.
Thats my point! I'm just happy for those who wanted a Skoll looking pet and dislike BM. Skoll is Skoll because hes BRIGHT BLUE. This wolf is a light gray.. Reminds me of thunder storms tbh. I find him pretty, though I do think it would have been cool to make him a darker grey.Vephriel wrote:My personal opinion on the matter: none.

Why let it bother you everytime a cluster of pixels is changed, multiplied, or whatever? It's a game.
Personally, I'm completely neutral. Yes, I camped Skoll for days. Yes, he still accompanies me; he's named Agni. Yes, I still love him as much as the day they released his model on WotLK beta.
Will I get one of these guys? Probably. Keep it? Can't say right now.
[shrug] Just my two cents.

Fun enough though. It's usually beautiful but common pets that are the ones you see the least.
Plus, now you have a common lookalike, you may see less real Skolls.
Kunchong for hunter pets!

Re: New Wolf Skin.
Okay, I see this statement way too many times. Just because you can't imagine caring for the pet as much if you feel its look is cheapened, does not mean it's the same for someone else. I can be absolutely furious about a skin being made common because I care about that pet. Being annoyed/irritated/angry has nothing to do with a lack of caring--in my case, it's quite the opposite!Qraljar wrote:If lookalikes of a pet cheapen the experience of having a pet for you, then I don't think you cared much about having that pet to begin with.
I'm not furious in this case (only annoyed), but my point still stands.

I don't think Skoll cares if he's unique. He's probably ALL like "I'M NOT ALOOOOOONE! "Loki wrote:Poor Skoll

Re: New Wolf Skin.
I have to second this. I am really not of one opinion over the other. Granted if this new wolf and Skoll were identical I would have my 2 cents, but they are not so mute point. I digress,Ziarre wrote:Okay, I see this statement way too many times. I don't like the "I don't agree so you are wrong" comments. Because your opinion is one thing doesn't mean that by default the other guy is wrong for his/hers.
