I realized today that I hadn't given much thought to the new talent tree yet, so now's probably a good time to figure it out. I have some choices completed, but there's still some I'm waffling over. How about you guys?

15: Posthaste (I think a little speed boost will be handy in a lot of situations)
30: Silencing Shot (As BM it'll be great to have a quick interrupt that isn't Intimidation)
45: Spirit Bond (I'm probably just sentimental, but I always liked this little health regen as BM, so I think I might stick with it)
60: Dire Beast (too fun to pass up)
75: Lynx Rush
90: ??? Can't decide yet

I'm not 100% locked into my choices yet, mostly because I'm not 100% sure which spec I'll be spending most of my time in in early MoP. I may prefer marks, but there's a lot to be said for BM-with-a-bunch-of-my-favorite-abilities.

Overall, though, I'm looking at:
15: Posthaste/Narrow Escape (PvE/PvP)
30: Silencing Shot
45: Exhilaration
60: Dire Beast (probably)
75: Blink Strike (probably)
90: Powershot (PvP)...no clue which of the others for PvE

15: Posthaste
30: Silencing Shot
45: Aspect of the Iron Hawk
60: Dire Beast (Questing), Thrill of the Hunt (Dungeoning)
75: Blink Strike (Questing), Murder of Crows (Dungeoning)
90: Powershot (Questing), Barrage (Dungeoning)

If we dont get dual-speccing (we do tho, right?) my choices for talents 60-90 will be very, very difficult to choose..

Yes, we get dual-speccing and you get a talent set for each.

As SV, my PVE spec:
-Posthaste; for times when I need to get out of bad stuff ASAP
-Wyvern Sting; for CC
-Aspect of the Iron hawk; to help incoming damage level out
-Dire Beast; because it sounds cool... >>
-A Murder of Crows; see above! I love corvids.
-Barrage; so I can use it without knocking things away from others

As Beast, my PVP/Solo spec:
-Narrow Escape; sounds amazing frankly
-Binding Shot; I want things off me/locked down
-Exhilaration; for obvious reasons
-Dire beast; again it just sounds awesome. haha. Possibly fervor though...
-Blink Strike or Lynx Rush - I'll have to test both.
-Powershot; sounds amazing

I went odd:

http://mop.wowhead.com/mists-of-pandari ... !FE|qzmzmq

1. Crouching Tiger Hidden Chimera since I use those two abilities nonstop in my play style. Well, deterrence during guild raids isn't as common, but the rest is.

2. Silencing Shot because two interrupts make me happy :) Though, binding shot in leveling for the stupid pvp part of our rp/pvp server might be a good change...

3. Exhilaration for that burst of healing rather than mitigating the damage. This likely will change in practice?

4. Dire Beast b/c it IS cool

5. A Murder of Crows b/c it's even cooler

6. Glaive Toss b/c I just love the idea of smacking things with a giant boomerang. Srsly, that's the only reason :D

(BM PVE/Leveling, btw)

Edit: I say "stupid" because we have a ridiculously relentless pvp side to Veco lol Leveling during the rush is never fast, nor easy

I'll probably have two specs. ... both of them Beast Master. And for once, it's not PvP/PvE. ... it's 'Tanking/DPS'

Spec 1: Tanking (Soloing)
15: Narrow Escape (imagine this + burrow)
30: Wyvern Sting
45: Exhilaration (Aspect Of The Iron Hawk is a close second but the pet needs to be kept alive more than me)
60: Dire Beast
75: Blink Strike
90: Powershot

Spec 2: DPS (Dungeoning/Raiding)
15: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Chimera
30: Silencing Shot
45: Aspect Of The Iron Hawk/Spirit Bond (honestly can't decide!)
60: Thrill Of The Hunt
75: Lynx Rush
90: Glaive Toss or Barrage (not positive which)
Come see Kurasu's stables!

15: Posthaste (I like speed boost better than webs or CD reduction.)
30: Silencing Shot (I have lusted after having a real interrupt for forever.)
45: Spirit Bond (Constant health regen that isn't dependent on Disengage and goes to my pet too.)
60: ??? Not sure for this now that Dire Beast is competing with TotH.
75: Lynx Rush (With recent buff I expect decent single-target use, a bit of extra AoE, and it's fun!)
90: ??? I have no clue but it will probably be Glaive Toss or Barrage.

Since you can change talents on the fly with that new tome (and out of combat), I believe I can safely say All of the above :D

Although I will start with

Crouching Tiger
Silencing shot (I like wyvern sting more since they removed the dot though)
Spirit Bond
Dire Beast

No idea on last two. Still don't feel inspired by those rows. I like Murder of crows in theory but in function not so much.

If you're going for pure dps ability, Murder of Crows and Fervor are your best choices. Crows beats Blink Strike, even for BM, which really surprised me. Fervor is a much more fluid and reliable source of focus for both you and your pet than Dire Beast although certainly nowhere near as much fun to use. My current talents are:

Posthaste----- I very rarely use disengage or deterrence since I'm not a PvPer so this seemed like the best choice
Binding Shot-- Again not into PvP so this one seemed best for CC when needed
Exhilaration-----Just seems to be a must have , especially for leveling and taking on Elites
Fervor-----------For the reasons already given
A Murder Of Crows--Best dps option and a cool animation effect
Glaive Toss-----Also seems best for dps and looks cool as well. Barrage is okay but I don't like channeled abilities

On a side note, I really like this quote from the Hunter's Union site:
The hunter class is the premiere hero class in WoW. Hunters are so important that Blizzard designed nine support classes just to enhance the hunter class experience.

Honestly, I don't like Powershot -- too long of a windup time.

My current build in beta will probably be what I usually run with:

0. Beast Mastery all the time.
1. Posthaste
2. Silencing Shot
3. Spirit Bond (switching to Exhilaration for fights where self-burst heal is awesome)
4. Dire Beast (Fervor when I need more Burst)
5. Lynx Rush or Blink Strike, depending on my mood. MoC just seems too long of a cooldown for me to enjoy it, probably will become a necessity on DPS race fights but we'll see.
6. Glaive Toss (of the three, it is the most instant with the lowest cooldown. Barrage is neat but hits so many innocent bystanders. :| )

Hey, can someone give me what in their opinion would be the best for (two separate things)

Soloing/Raiding

and

PvP

Spirit Bond currently heals 2% every 10 seconds, and it's getting buffed to 2% every 2 seconds! But Iron Hawk reduces ALL damage by 15%.
Which do you think is better for soloing current dungeons, and older raids? As well as in PvP situations?

For PvP, which is generally my forte, I will be using spirit bond, as I often find myself not always being in AOTH, and the 2% heal is a nice buff that doesn't require me to be in a certain aspect.

For Solo, it depends on whether the damage reduction translates to the pet too, as well as whether or not you personally are taking a lot of damage. If no to both, then I'd say SB.

PvP-BM
Narrow Escape
Binding Shot
Spirit Bond
Dire Beast
Blink Strike
Glaive Toss (currently dealing damage equal to about 3 arcane shots.)

PvE- BM
Posthaste
Wyvern Sting
Exhilaration
Dire Beast
A Murder of Crows
Glaive Toss

Not many people are choosing glaive toss.....and I'm not sure why. It's currently doing the most damage as far as cooldowns tied to dmg. It is awesome.

15: Posthaste is just good utility. If Disengage doesn't get you out of the fire, you got a speed boost to help.
30: Silencing Shot. I've always had SS. Helpful if any situation, PvE or PvP
45: Aspect of the Iron Hawk. I'm a MM so yeah, I'll take the damage reduction thanks.
60: Thrill of the Hunt. Right now, its proccing so many times that it is amazing. If this gets nerfed, Dire Beast is a good second.
75: A Murder of Crows. I'm just hanging onto Murder because its hilarious against players. I really don't know if Blink Strike is any better.
90: Powershot. Only keeping this because I'm clueless about the others. Also, its too much fun.

I think the damage reduction is just hunter.

For the record, interrupts come up more often in PvE than most non-MM hunters realize...we're just used to ignoring them since we couldn't deal with them. Extra CC like Wyvern Shot could also be very useful in Challenge Modes. Food for thought!

QFT. This is why marks has always been my favorite spec. I feel naked when I can't interrupt - both in PvE and PvP. And no, it's not the same using a pet for interrupts because their cooldown is significantly longer AND cannot be reset by readiness (which we all get now, lest anyone forget).

The extra CC from wyvern is really nice too (for both PvE and PvP), and if you're kiting as non-marks, having binding shot is useful....depending on how MoP encounters work, there might even be a need for this in PvE too.

TL;DR: this is one of my favorite talent tiers.

Spec: BM

15: Narrow Escape-more to my play style I think, Though Posthaste might replace that once I play around with it a bit. I don't use Disengage a great deal so this entire set is a bit disappointing for me.

30: Binding shot, because it will hold them in place for a bit so my pet can get a good amount of aggro without the mobs rushing me like they do sometimes.

45: Aspect of the Iron Hawk I guess. Spirit Bond is okay in theory but it doesn't seem to be that big of a help in the long run.

60: Dire Beast-love this talent so much

75: Really torn on these three. Going to play around with them for a bit before I pick one

90: Glaive Toss or Barrage-need to play with both to see which I like better.
