It would be neat if we could get Spirit Beast versions of beasts we normally can't tame - eg. stags, hydras, pterrodaxes, who knows.

Since the Spirit Beasts are a family that isn't restricted to a single species, there's the option of putting whatever you want in it. Well, in theory at least. I always thought it would be cool if they gave us some unique looks that aren't otherwise tameable as a pet family.

I understand what an untamable beast is, it looked(sounded?) to me that they knew something the rest of us didn't know. I agree one of the stags or wooly goat mounts would make some awesome tanking pets though. I am tinkled pink that I can finally give

some real bear like skills.

Omg yes please! Btw Wain, if you ever want some good lulz as to how an aquatic creature would look on land, use a potion of illusion on a Druid in Orca form. I ran around Darkmoon fair as a whale, and it was great! Oh, fun feign death animation too. :-p

Personally as long as it isn't a transparent cat or whatever animal I am already happy.

Dunno maybe they will surprise us with a pandaria hydra seeing they not happy with the current models/animation.

Browsing the new models and beasts, I have come up with what I consider to be an educated guess. I think it will be a stag. The new Druid travel form has given the Malorne stag model several new animations which would cover all pet emotes. Walk, run, swim and die the most common pet animations are all present with the model now. It even has a dance animation for people running around with them dance grenades.

It's the most logical possibility next to Xuen's model that I can imagine. Does there happen to be other color/spectral variations of either the Horde/Alliance model? I don't understand the art of datimining so I'm kinda clueless to the potential.

I suspect that since it's sheduled for 5.1, we can datamine all that we want and won't find a pixel of it

Just wanted to say that, if there are ever pink spirit beasts, there had better be shadow-priest colored ones too, for those of us who never much cared for barbie dolls, frilly clothes or cheerleading.

Technically there is one thats shadow priest colored -- Gondria.

And you dont have to do any of that to like pink. :3 I'm not the frilly cheerleader type and still like pink.
