I "Think" I've finished this picture now. I did win the black "otter" marked cerva in the auction, so took the liberty of adding his horns/tail in as well as made him a bit darker in color.
I made the shoulder fur that way because His character loves to run and strives to "Fly" across the ground as the birds fly across the sky.

Here is my newest piece:

Lady Knyla, a chestnut roan nebula splash butterfly with birdcatcher spots (try saying THAT 10x fast!) Another Design won, and then done in my own style. I think I am improving a bit since the last horses I did. I used an Arabian horse as inspiration for the form. I love the graceful look it gave her. Now i need to come up with a good personality for her so I can start writting some stories about her life at Golden Vale Stables.

Thanks The butterfly effect was really fun to do! I am looking forward to drawing her again in different poses.

Thats really cool I read horses are the hardest things to draw perspective wise.

I use to think horses were easy to draw, and then...I learned that horses are really different. So many breeds and each one can be very different from the other. And yes, perspective is (I find) VERY hard to do with a horse. Side view I find is the easiest, but I did try a different view with KoH in that picture, though I know I've messed up a bunch of stuff on the angle. Still learning. Practise practise practise!

Ujanu took me a day to do, KoH took me about 6hrs, and Marula only took me 3hrs. So, I am getting better at it

One day I might be good enough to do commissions!

Bunny is a horse yeah Verminas ingame mount she is in alot of screenies in the everquest 2 thread i connected with her more then any other mount i ever had want ot to complile all the scrnies into one?

Bareback is always more fun for ridding, imo.

agree before i got this sick i had my own horse a black arabian stallion ..and yeah he was called bunny too - i always rode him bareback
