I'm on the Korean server because there's a lot less WoWerrors there.

Funny enough, I can still attack and capture minipets just fine there. I haven't tried on the other servers but I can on the Korean one.

I caught a Black Lamb in Elwynn Forest like 4 minutes ago.

I'm hoping that a lot of those are just placeholders. The other option is that they are test pets. There's more than a few that use not only the same model, but the exact same colours. Some are obvious test pets, like "Jacob the Test Seagull". To see what I mean, those with beta access can just browse through the pet journal. There's also duplicates of the onyxian whelpling.. which I hope they change at least a little bit.
