Let it be known that I don't know how much cred he has, but it might be something to keep in mind! Do those dailies and you may yet have something else to spend the points on if your farming matches didn't go well.
Maybe Noah can whisper in ears if there's bad info being spread.

... or if it's good info!

Yup, they'll be sold for TB commendations instead of the horrendous fox grind which I've yet to have any luck with. xD Very pleased by this.

I'm not all *that* pleased! ... mainly because I just ground another one on my skinner and was planning to sell it when I could.
But that's purely for selfish reasons.

I'm not going to throw hissies. I'm actually very happy that others will have something else to spend the marks on! I *do* wish the marks had been used for something else you couldn't get in any other way, though.

I like this idea for the sole reason that i cannot stand killing foxes. Specially throngs upon throngs for the minipet. I feel like im mass slaughtering their entire population to extinction when i do ;_; my feels ache too much to seriously do any form of grinding for it. I feel bad for the people who spent hours over many days farming for the kit, but im thankful for it to gain/become a vendor pet.

I grind for this pet on and off with no luck.
But 200 commendations is kind of steep when you consider how cheap the seagull is in comparison. I have about 78 marks just sitting on my character for some reason (probably from winning TB matches for my Master of TB achievement, since I've GOTTEN everything else) so it's going to take another week or two to get 100+ more.
The way I see it, I'm going to do dailies, and farm the normal way... and see which avenue nets me a fox pet first.

It costs 200 commendations? Whew. that is pretty steep for a minipet. Still better for my feels but it was hard enough grinding for the spectral wolf >_> (i refuse to buy mr. vomit green drake

). I guess i'll have to start doing dailies and grind up the commendations for when MoP is released so i can nab one right away :derp: I hope theres minipets of the other colors i can collect too. Ive never been fond of WoW's orange ones, i have a hard time fitting with them. But all the other colors are to die for.

200 is a little steep (same price as the dragon mount), but I don't mind myself. I'd rather grind dailies knowing I can eventually get that fox at the end than kill foxes upon the thousands without knowing if I'll ever see it drop.
Plus I haven't done the TB dailies in aaages and I kinda miss it there (I like the zone), so this'll be a nice incentive to liven it back up again.

I think it's great they're going on the vendor as well. I think the price is so steep because it's normally a really rare drop from the foxes whereas the Seagull is only off those vendors and is much easier to obtain. I got super lucky on my Hunter and got the Fox Kit after 5 kills, but that's after killing hundreds on my Paladin. There's only 16 on the island, so I guess they multiply fast.

Oh yes. Time to start doing my TB dailies again.
I swear, I've wiped out the population of the foxes on that little island too many times.

It took me weeks to get my first one, I admit, but only a 5 hour farming expedition (heh heh... 'only') for my second one. So I can't say that I don't understand it. ... except for the fact that they're not offering things like the fireflies and whelps for sale, when the drop rate is the same!

Oh, this is great!

Can I start the farm now and still have the marks when mop hits? I'd be bummed if I farmed enough, only to have the count reset to 0.

I'd imagine that Tol Barad tokens wouldn't reset, as the content will be outdated in the same manner as Wintergrasp.

The difference is, those are BoE! For those with a good amount of money, it's much easier to put down 3-15k than spend days grinding mobs.

Box the pet. Put it on the AH. Use the new one. These are just as BoE in a way. And yes, foxes are boxable. I made sure of that!

I'm worried that, like most/all other 'vendor sold pets', that they might strip the fox of its rare status. :c

It wont be rare as it stands in live if this follows through to live, and if its classified rare in beta atm, it might not retain that same status since its become a vendor pet, but i could see it getting an uncommon status for sure
