We had information related to us in-universe by Brann. And even if you take into account Brann sometimes talking BS, he got confirmation personally from Cenarius. If Cenarius doesn't know where Night Elves came from, I don't know who does.

That feathery raptors seem to be chicks of those primal-phoenix thingies or whatever they're called, like Ji-kun for example. I wonder if we'll see them during his fight, or maybe he'll even drop one as a mount...?

Anyway, I WANT those tameable

I just saw on MMO champion that it appears the jewel like direhorns are mounts that drop from the new rare spawns. I hope the organic/armored ones get put in too.. I'll be slightly bitter if the only one I have the hope of getting is one of the jeweled ones which I dont like and come from a rare spawn none the less.

They kind of look like the Alliance Gnome machine that come and pick up the worgs and the mechanical(chicken, dragon, whatever the other is) "spies" for the Lion's Landing dailies.

Yay! I love raptor mounts. This will be especially nice for allies who have had bad luck in ZG.

Omg white raptor mount! And for both factions! The only thing that sucks is that we will need to kill all those dinos on the isle, so I guess we better start farming the direhorn book as soon as possible when the patch hit live servers, as I can see lots of people not caring that we're trying to tame them and just go "i need dino bones lulz" in many hunter's faces.

The question is how many bones do the dinos drop? Like the average?

When I went around killing some of the young dinosaurs (sorry, babies

), they tended to drop 6 per kill. No idea on the adult ones.

Well that makes the farming sound better than if it was like 1 bone per dino!

I killed a Young Direhorn, and got 4 bones.
Then I killed a Pterrorwing (which was tough, they hit for 30k+) and it dropped 5 bones.
I killed a Young Devilsaur and it dropped 6 bones.

Seems like most dinosaurs average out at 4-6. It's definitely easier to farm the young direhorns.
