Thunderhawk summon is very much reminding me of Ragnarok Online. My favorite thing to do was stack my Hunter's luck stat, which seemed to increase the chance of my hawk companion zooming in for some hits. HAWK SPAM!

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, those guys are called Thunder Birds or something like that in WMV I believe.

The 2pc bonus has differing proc rates for the different specs. It procs less often for BM since the damage of the summoned creature is affected by BM Mastery but not by the Mastery of the other 2 specs. The damage done by the 4pc bonus is buffed by SV Mastery and can not proc Wild Quiver.
•The Hunter 2T15 bonus is a chance to summon a Thunderhawk. That Thunderhawk will assist you, and will always cast 5x Lightning Bolts for 16k to 24k Nature damage. Its damage will scale with BM mastery, and will not scale with Survival mastery. However, the proc chances (which are Real PPM) vary by spec: 0.7/min for BM, 1/min for MM, 1.2/min for Surv.
•The Hunter 4T15 bonus is affected by Survival’s mastery, cannot trigger Wild Quiver, and procs at a rate of 3 RealPPM.

Urk. The more Blizz does these strange things, the more I wanna focus on SV if I can get a smoother play from it and reasonable dps.
