Haha love the name on those raptors...Fierce Anklebiter.
I may have to tame a turtle now since those look really cool!

Re: Couple tames so far...
Hahaha, Anklebiter xD Does it remain small after taming? Compared to normal raptors?
Don't panic!

I think I need to see some more angles for that tame Anklebiter...if the eyes don't stare into my soul too much I may have found a way to make Aka (bbyraptor from quest chain) grow up...and heal her scars!

Re: Couple tames so far...
Couple of screenshots of the new Spirit beast.
Was pretty easy to get I only used arcane and cobra as my attacks and used concussion for the slow along with a frost trap and Silencing shot to stop her heal.
As far as the size for the Raptor it seems to be smaller than the normal raptor tames but I am not quite sure as I haven't tamed a raptor before. I will verify at a later time :p

Re: Couple tames so far...
Here is the tame of the Red Spirit Beast.
This one is pretty easy stay in its dead zone not melee and not range if he starts to cast his range attack just run in some and it won't cast. Again just used arcane shot and Cobra shot for damage and Concussion shot for the slow until he lost his buff then hit deterrence and tame. Frost trap helps but Concussion shot is best.
The Turtles and Raptor are from the quest hub Island of the Thunder King (Pretty sure that is the name)
The Green Spirit beast is from The Jade Forest.
The Red Spirit Beast is from Krasarang Wilds.
Also I am not finding the location of these spirit beasts u can see the thread on them here :

Re: Couple tames so far...
So our spirit beast is a see thru....green....porcupine? o.O Are we being punished? Sorry to those who like it, but I.....just......no. That thing is just fail. Not even funny fail.
The turtle however, is lovely. Are those just common spawns, out wandering around? Darwin, my turtle, might well evolve. The blue glow in the shell is gorgeous.
Either way, grats on taming things and thanks for showing us

A translucent green porcupine... and a red one, and a blue one. I'm sorry to hear you don't like them! Personally, I've been looking forward to the blue one ever since Ghostcrawler talked about FITE SPIRIT PORCUPINE FITE.Teigan wrote:So our spirit beast is a see thru....green....porcupine? o.O Are we being punished? You do realize that except for Loque'nahak, this is how all of our spirit beasts look, right Teigan?

Re: Couple tames so far...
Yea the turtles are just common mobs. I personally don't like the fact there are 3 spirit beasts of the same kind just different color would of been nice if it was a color changer and compacted into 1 that way I don't have to free up 3 more slots in my stable since I collect Spirit beasts... Not sure which color I like the best :\
Not complaining about the spirit beasts I will take whatever we get :p

Re: Couple tames so far...
Yes, I know that. Been a hunter for some time now. Also, as the main writer for PetEmote I have tamed and run with every single spirit beast that is live in game, to get a feel for them and try to write emotes for a family that ranges from crab to wolf. I know the spirits beasts' names, spawn points, and trick tames if applicable by heart. I am familiar with our spirit beasts. However Skoll and Loque are the only two spirit beasts I like. I was really hoping for at least one more where I can't see its eyes thru its behind. Personally, I find these new ones hideous. That is my opinion and I am not trying to start a fight.Kalliope wrote:And Skoll.Myzou wrote:You do realize that except for Loque'nahak, this is how all of our spirit beasts look, right Teigan?
And no, I don't think it should have been expected. I think more solid spirit beasts should have been expected, since we only have two of that kind. Again, I am not trying to start a fight. I am expressing an opinion.Myzou wrote:I knew I was forgetting one. I don't see why, there's some that are non-translucent so the ability to have solid SBs is there.

Re: Couple tames so far...
Yeah, I also would've liked to get another solid spirit beast. Though I like that the new ones aren't cats and most of all that we get a red one. First spirit beast that isn't blue or green. I consider that progress.
But I'm not a fan of porcupines to begin with and making them transparent is no improvement. Glad that others like them, but I'll probably skip them and keep waiting for new solid ones.

While this feature of the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wasn't exactly intended... - it will still be possible in future for everyone who wishes to tame this NPC to do so
