Isle of Giants - Populated New Tames (Warning Large Images)
We now have Direhorns on the Isle of Giants but they are not 'tameable' as you require something known to tame them. Also there is a collection of new Dinos that we can tame as well. I was squealing so loudly flying around the island.
Everything is an Elite on the Island, I've not tried taming the parents but the Hatchlings can be frozen
Flyby of the Entire Zone with all Tameable Creatures
My Video of the Isle of Giants, Bubbles are there to explain what to do and how to do things and give general information about the island as a whole.
Screenshots below

White/Albino

Devilsaurs

Yellow/Green
Red/Pink
Pterrowings can also be found on the Island along with a number of Zandalari but the Pterrowings cannot be tamed.

While this feature of the Grimtotem Spirit Guide wasn't exactly intended... - it will still be possible in future for everyone who wishes to tame this NPC to do so

I honestly can't IMAGINE trying to get around on this island while riding a regular mount... Everything here looks like it wants to kill you the moment it makes eye contact. Even the hatchlings. XD

LMAO! Oh I know, I barely could land without getting something wanting to eat my face off on the Island. I was trying to take screenshots of the Direhorns and baby did not like me coming near :C It wanted to eat my face... XD

What happened to Oondasta? Hopefully she/he is okay and somewhere nicer.

I think Oonasta is supposed to be a new Galleon, only tougher - so with a long spawn time. you'll less often see him home than not

Question: Is that a green Devilsaur tamed in the Green/Yellow pic? It's sort of hard to tell if it's tamed or if it's shadows or something on a yellow.
I've got a thing for green pets and am hoping for a green one.

They're like a...yellow green I guess. Bit of an odd colour, but it's basically green.Pepsi Jedi wrote:Question: Is that a green Devilsaur tamed in the Green/Yellow pic? It's sort of hard to tell if it's tamed or if it's shadows or something on a yellow.

This is just something that occurred to me, and nothing I have any inside knowledge on. But in beta we had a number of beasts that changed appearances over the course of the test, and sometimes people who'd already become very attached to certain ones were upset when they were changed, and the skin was given to a rare. Hopefully that won't happen here, but it's always worth keeping in mind that it may.
But on a positive note, beautiful shots

I'm not too sure where Oondasta has gone to reside now, I'm not sure if he will still be present on the Island or not as there is now the Beast Lord in the spot where he used to spawn. Maybe he still spawns there or not I am not honestly 100% sure at this time, but so far every time I have flown over the island I did not seen Oondasta only the trolls.Myrrmi wrote:I think Oonasta is supposed to be a new Galleon, only tougher - so with a long spawn time. you'll less often see him home than not
The devilsaur in the screenshot with the two adults that are a greenish/yellow coloration is indeed one of the Hatchlings I tamed from them. In my first run through before I got Direhorn taming I tamed 1 of each DevilsaurPepsi Jedi wrote:Question: Is that a green Devilsaur tamed in the Green/Yellow pic? I actually wouldn't be too worried about this, but that's just me personally. The Island of Giants is a place that I think Blizzard might not change much, mostly to give everyone a fair chance at a pet they want but then again we know Blizzard and how they seem to hate us hunters so indeed it is something to keep in mind. I know I've seen the Tan Direhorn Model on Thunder King's Island along with the White Devilsaur, there's also the Black Devilsaur there but apparently those are Elementals <_<Wain wrote:This is just something that occurred to me, and nothing I have any inside knowledge on. Thank you for a tamed shot of each. Definitely getting a blue devilsaur and a red dire horn. Then it's back to waiting for something else I want.

I'm actually glad the Pterrorwings are not tameable. They look ridiculous in my opinion. That stupid looking head with the huge teeth and the enormous talons on the wings look dumb as well. I'm amazed that they made the other Dinos look so awesome and failed so horribly on these. I don't even want one as a mount.
Re: Isle of Giants - Populated New Tames (Warning Large Imag
Good that you have such a vivid view and opinion, but I actually love these more than all the other models. They actually look ferocious to me. I hope they make them tameable.Danielfboone wrote:I'm actually glad the Pterrorwings are not tameable. They look ridiculous in my opinion. They're by far one of my favourite models ever made by Blizzard. I would kill to be able to tame one, but I'm glad I can at least get a mount and maybe the possibility of a minpet. Either way, I love them.Qraljar wrote:Good that you have such a vivid view and opinion, but I actually love these more than all the other models. They actually look ferocious to me. I think the Pterrorwings look bad-ass in a way that most wow mounts do not. I'd love to fly around on one!
