An entire expac full of tentacles, seriously?
It's too easy to fall into pre-existing tropes of what you're reproducing. Lovecraft didn't get popular on tentacles but on his really out-of-this-world writing and sincere fear of unknown. But modern receivers of cosmic horror tend to miss this and thanks to the original stuff being filtered through layers of pop culture (which has already missed the point), all they get out of Lovecraft is "tentacles".

A bit ranty, I know. But I meant I agree that Old God-themed stuff doesn't have to be all tentacles.

"Wakener, your deeds have earned you the trust of the Klaxxi.
You are to be rewarded. Walk with me.
We mantid are an elder race. The pandaren you associate with - they are but children. They have their role to play.
Each cycle, our young swarm their walls. The pandaren slay the weak. The strong return.
With each generation, we grow ever stronger.
Before your history began, our empire was vast. We shared this world with our sister kingdoms, Ahn'Qiraj and Azjol-Nerub.
Our Gods were many, and powerful. We mantid worshipped the seven heads of Y'Shaarj.
Great was the Old One, and terrible was His wrath. He consumed hope and begat despair; He inhaled courage and breathed fear.
When the usurpers came - the ones you call "Titans" - Y'Shaarj was destroyed.
His last terrible breath has haunted this land ever since, but the shadows he left behind are mere whispers of his former glory.
I tell you now, because you have earned this warning.
Your gods are not your gods, outsider.
If the Old Ones ever return, we mantid will once again stand by their side.
The wisest among you will do the same.
That is all that needs to be said. Come, take your reward, and remember what you have learned today."

I really hope Y'Shaarj comes back somehow in this expansion. I am an absolute FANATIC when it comes to Old Gods. Reading this quote really makes me wish Mantid were a playable race, so I could side with them, if the Y'Shaarj does make an appearance. :<

I love my Klaxxi brothers too much to have to bear fighting them one day. ;__; BUGS FTW!!!

You should finish your klaxxi main questline. :)
I did awhile ago. The fact that the Klaxxi worshipped an Old God that ended up being killed by the Titans don't really have much to do with the Zandalari being corrupted by another Old God though. We know that Y'Shaarj is very dead and not coming back. I think that his death is the reason the Titans imprisonned the other ones instead of killing them, since they're parasitic and their death would kill Azeroth. But back to the Zandalari, if I recall correctly, it's in one of the recent novels that they mentioned them being corrupted, and I think it was N'Zoth that did it, though I could be wrong.

The Nuclear Chaos is probably one of the last raid bosses we will ever encounter.

Bumping since they have names/stats now:

http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=95859 - Bow from Unknown Source, though has the same ilvl as the LFR weapons, the name makes me think it will drop from the Thunder King though.

THREE weapons from the 5.2 LFR, all ilvl502 like the above one, one of each type:

http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=95781 - Gun, dropped by the Iron Qon.
http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=95678 - Bow, dropped by Tortos.
http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=95728 - Crossbow, dropped by Durumu.

Looks like another term of gun being BiS. More base agility, red socket, socket bonus agility.

That can't be right though. Why would the gun have more base agility than the others, while offering a pure red socket? O_o

Have we ever had a crossbow be BiS for a patch? :S

I believe the Crossbow that dropped from the dragon twins in BoT was BiS for it's tier(unless you were a troll. Then it was the bow from Atramedes). But getting the crossbow to drop was the trick...least it never dropped for me....unless I wasn't on my hunter. XD

That gun will look great for a dwarf, but getting green amour to match will be a problem, doesn't go at all with our tier gear.

The bow looks good for a troll, but might be a bit stubby.

That crossbow.. is disturbing...

The gun is indeed itemized better, but hit/haste still isn't ideal. It's likely the last available weapon, so it's going to be itemized a bit better.

There was one crossbow that was BiS I believe.. Think it was the chicken-on-a-stick. Now we get the squid on a stick. Is that going to make space-goats wierd-out?

Not sure if anyone has looked at the shooting animation on the Shattered Tortoiseshell Longbow and the Voice of the Quilen, but they looks really awesome and follows the lighting theme of the patch really well.

XD I did that with the crossbow. Looks like it's rapidly sticking it's tongue out.

The gun also shoots lightning, btw.

Yeah sorry didn’t see that, they seemed to be hosted so that you have to click on the gifs individually to see them? hence in missed them the 1st time around. But your right it certainly does not hurt to have it in multiple places, especially as they are different formats as well.

Yeah I saw that one too, pretty dam neat, works really well with a "Shadow Pan" themed fist user :)

That fist weapon spinning would drive me crazy if fist weapons were visible all the time. xD

I'm intrigued by this patch's weapon.

We have an intellect 2h mace, a strength polearm, and a HEALING fist weapon. Lol.

Here's the awesome fistweapon for anyone interested:

Makes me think of Yuffie from FF7.

Actually I'm delighted by those weaps :D

Intelect 2H mace - holly pally, int druids, int shamans (now just allow legendary transmog for my Flame Warden's Sulfuron)
Str polearm - ret (my own is currently using a random-stated polearm from scenario chest and I love her fighting animations :D), DK, war (dual-wield halabards? hell yeah!)
healing fists - monks are the thing! also any other kind of healer :D (like you don't carry a weapon - you heal with your bare hands)

Unfortunately, Titan's Grip does not affect Polearms.

And the fist weapon is for mistweavers, boomkins, restokins, and resto/ele shammies. The other healers can't wield them.
