5.2 Dire Beast (zomg)

Unread post by Quiv »

I tested about 6 on each island, same 3 spawning.

They are big. I know Dire Beast summoned beasts are large (*glares at Eastern Kingdom monkey*) but these are WAY big...

these arent surprising...

but this one made me do a squee noise. i have a feeling dire beast is a "runner up" prize for untameable beasts, like the beaver. idk though, was neat to see in action.

Sooo awesome, thanks for sharing these. I'd love it if the flying ones become tameable, but I am trying not to get my hopes up.

The last screen shot gives me a glimmer of hope. So far all dire beasts (save for the odd acceptation of the beaver) are just larger models of pets/families you can tame. I will take this as a sign that even if they are not tamable at the moment, blizz may at least be considering it. :D *crossing fingers*
At least I know I can have a chance to summon a badass flying dino every thirty seconds for fifteen second all day. xD

You're right they're quite big, though the warp stalker and nether ray summoned in Outland are pretty big too, which can be annoying at times. :?

This kind of thing is the reason why I still use Dire Beast even if it may not always be the optimal thing for maximum dps. It sure is for the fun factor though.

Me too, I love it for this reason. I am afraid they are going to turn the talent into a passive though, that would worry me. Make one less button to push (and I am all for that) but I want to summon the beast when I want to, not procced. I hate the Angel of death proc in Dread waste for this reason.

The size of Dire Beast Pteros changed.

Hope it's a sign, but I think not.

The pteros on the Isle of the Thunder King not flagged tameable and have no diet yet.

Well, we all knew the Dire Beasts would have to shrink in size, whether they became tameable or not.
