Color changing worg needs a name!

Alright, people...

I went and got me that color changing worg. And guess what? His name is "wolf".

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring!

So, instead of doing this like I always did, I let you guys (and gals of course) decide on his name.

But please keep in mind that:
  • I'm a role-player
  • I don't like funny names
  • I choose my names so they fit neatly into Azeroth
  • I have the last say in this
So now, open your minds and hearts, think of a blood elf who gave up all his family and people to be a hunter and tamer and ended finally to be the blood brother of a tauren warrior and an honorable member of the Blackhoof tribe in the wide planes of Mulgore.

What would he name his worgen?

As a little help, I have a cat called Gerethay (elfish name from name genrator), a wolf called Logrim (orcish pet, orcish name, right?) and a polar bear called Yarona (was named by girlfriend when she saw the bear).

Hmm, well I went with the 'colourful' theme for my name ideas:

AMITOLA: Native American Sioux name meaning "rainbow."
SWARAN: Hindi name, meaning "good color."
ZIBEON: Hebrew name meaning "versi-colored." <--(my favourite)

You could also go with variations of CHROMA, KROMA, etc.

Not quite what I'm looking for.
I like the rainbow-idea but Amitola sounds strange on a worgen. Well, it does for me...

And please help me out: What is "versi-colored"?!? Not even a dictionary could help me here!
And I though, my english was good...

"Changeling"?

Nah, but if you took one ofthe Northrend wolves, something Scandinavian might suffice.
Färg comes to mind, as does Regnbåge. But yeah, Rhode names suck. Sometimes it's just better to use the name generator and choose Vowel-heavy. It results in "somewhat" scandinavian names.

Versi-coloured would literally mean 'versatile coloured', or composed of many colours/changeable in colour. :) That's why I thought it was perfect for a colour changing pet.

Just right now, an idea struck me.

The worg only takes several variations of greyish colors.

Now let's take it for a second, that these words were literally translated. So AMI would mean rain, TOLA would mean bow, SWA meaning good and RAN meaning color.
Since he takes only grey colors, the colors of a rainy day, we simply swap syllables and will get SWATOLA (Who would name his companion "good bow"?) and AMIRAN ("raincolor" seems to fit and sounds pretty neat).

How do you like it? Amiran, the colorchanging worg?

Try Minnesota which means cloudy waters in Sioux. I tried to look for Native American rain gods but .... maybe later.
-------------------------
Since Coyote is a common mythological being in Native American myths and legends, you can call your Wolf MayalecaSota , meaning Grey Coyote. You could also just name your pet GreyTrickster or just Trickster.

Amiran sounds like a great name to me :)
Here are some other suggestions unless you already went with Amiran

Veranderende; african for changing
Cambiar; spanish for changing
Kubadilisha; swahili for changing

Color in different languages

Michezo ; swahili
Kleur ; african
Cor ; gaelic

I think, I'll go with Amiran.

Sounds like a name an elf would choose, too.

Thanks, people!
