I know that, though very uncommon, proper parrot models are now tamable, in red, green, and blue, with some classed as Bird of Prey and some as Carrion Bird...

But what’s some good names for these perennial partners of pirates?

Polly? Umm, Crackers/Biscuit, Skwaks, Fluffers, Beakly, Drumstick.

Ahab, Ishmael, and Pequod are all names taken from the story of Moby Dick. Any one of them would suit a parrot well imo.

Pretty much any pirate-like name will do too. You could reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fictional_pirates for some additional ideas.

I named mine "Pollyanna"

Named mine Jacques after JonTron's adorable green-cheeked conure. But for broader names:
- Sirocco (the warm, south wind)
- Iago for a red one (Aladdin)
- Various tropical fruits make fun names, like Papaya, Mango etc.

Kukui is a tropical nut tree.
